But it shouldn't be the case that, when we say industry level profit, it includes the profit with 'X' , loss with 'Y' and gives only the net ?

I seriously doubt you have a Z2,I have a Z3 compact, my cousin owns a Z2 and the only advantage on mine is the higher iso which the iPhone can only dream to have in 20 years.
iPhone appeals to human need of saying they bought something that was expecting site regardless if it's worth it or not. Based on profits and sales doesn't mean they are the best otherwise McDonald's would have the best food in the world, it's just more popular among people who don't have knowledge on the subject, same with iPhones.

And yes i prefer the build of the sony z2 to the iphone any day of the week, thats just my opinion though.

I have used all 3 Mobile OS available in the market and can say that Android phones want superior hardware to run smoothly where as iOS and Windows Phone works smoothly on lesser hardware. About Apple's profit they are producing hardware at roughly $150 and the remaining amount they are charging for their intellectual property i.e. iOS and first party software. There is no formula that can accurately determine cost of any intellectual property.

Cool, iOS deserves it. Even iOS 9 beta is more stable than android 5.0 . People who thinks android phone got more RAMS & more cores can't have little brain to think android is so poor in memory management that it requires desktop class hardware to run a mobile OS. Although I am using xperia z2, can't love it. 3GB ram but it laaaags. In other hand ipad mini 2 with beta 3 ios 9 is more stable & smooth & user friendly than android 5 (is lollipop Alpha version of android ?)

They are cheating everyoneIf a cerain company will put a price to their product, whether it is overpriced for you or not, you cannot do anything cause that is marketing. If you cannot afford that is not a problem of the company. If you want their product whether is pricy or not you can have it, but if not its your choice..
