Sammy did prove Antutu suks....10 000 points of difference in results of testing S6 and it's edge version, even it have same HW.
plus, to get this result, smartphone with this Qualcom's SoC will need to have water cooling to keep it "normal"
EngineerInTest, 14 Jul 20155inch screen is a good choice. FullHD will help achieve better battery life than 2K. Hope that... moreFirst of all 1080p IS 2K. I'd rather have an AMOLED screen but since it will be made by LG AMOLED is 99.99% not going to happen. As far as i know LG has NEVER used an AMOLED screen on a phone. At least not a flagship level phone.
Igor Carvalho, 14 Jul 2015IF we are talking about a 5.0 inch phone and 1080p resolution, 2700mah is a good battery...What? No it isn't. The LG G2 had a 5" 1080p screen with a 3,000mAh battery and it only had just "OK" battery life. A battery 10% smaller will suck. Also, 2,700mAh is only 17% bigger than the battery in the first Nexus 5 and the first Nexus 5 has AWFUL battery life. If I can get 2.5 hours SOT after 10 hours off the charger that was a REALLY good day.
JF69, 14 Jul 2015Apparently you never owned a Nexus 6, from someone who does own one, it is a beast of a phone,... more"for someone that is 5'7" with regular size hands, I have no issues with holding and handling the Nexus 6."
Sorry but no way is that true. I have regular size hands for someone that is 6 feet tall and I have a little trouble even with my Nexus 5.
Look at screen resolution, its full hd lower than QHD.
20k extra points not surprise at all.
RayenX, 14 Jul 2015OMG FHD is Freakin PERFECT!!!! QHD is bullshit battery drainer... If the screen would be 5 i... moreI think 720 would be even better. The difference between 720 and 1080 on a 5" screen probably wouldn't be noticeable and even if it was it would be pretty minor and a fair trade off for the increased battery life. Especially if the rumor of only a 2,800 or 2,900mAh battery is true and LG likely using IPS LCD.
SirStephenH, 14 Jul 2015"FHD is totally enough. I find it kind of strange that people want a higher resolution if... moreQHD on a 5" screen is ridiculous. Comparing to SD vs HD is dumb because viewing distance is totally different.
At 1080p on a 5" screen that is 440ppi. The human eye can't distinguish between pixels that small so it certainly couldn't distinguish between pixels that are even smaller as is the case with QHD. Advancements in technology are great if they actually provide a benefit. Advancement just for the sake of advancement or as a gimmick to get people to buy something new is stupid. Plus, battery life is already bad enough. Why waste extra power pushing all those extra pixels you can't even see? If current rumors are right the Nexus 5 (2015) will have a 2,800 or 2,900mAh battery and since it's being made by LG it will likely be an IPS LCD. A 2,800 or 2,900mAh battery powering a 5" 1080p IPS LCD is already going to have bad enough battery life as it is. A QHD screen will just make battery life worse. Look at the LG G3 and G4. They both have a 3,000mAh battery with a 5.5" QHD IPS LCD and the battery life sucks.
SirStephenH, 14 Jul 2015"FHD is totally enough. I find it kind of strange that people want a higher resolution if... moreIf you view the screen under a magnifier then sure there is a difference. I will happilh stick to 1080p on a 5 inch screen and enjoy more battery life, GPU performance and a lower price.
I'm sure money hungry google will ask 1000 euro for it or may be 2000.
wabre, 14 Jul 2015FHD is totally enough. I find it kind of strange that people want a higher resolution if they ... more"FHD is totally enough. I find it kind of strange that people want a higher resolution if they can't even see the difference, apart from the higher battery drain."
You see, the problem is that plenty of people CAN see the difference. You were probably part of the crowd that said SD was enough back when HD came out. I wish all the FHD is enough crowd would get their eyes checked.
"A camera which is worse than LG G4 or Galaxy S6 is a no-go. Sorry, there has to be a progression, otherwise i can't find spare change for a phone which doesn't go beyond what's already available."
Wait! You say you want a progression in features/quality but yet you want them to regress from the current standard of QHD back to FHD? Ever hear of hypocrisy?
From f.king now on samsung is dead for me, I've cancelled uhd tv order and also will do for mobile contract which was waiting for Note 5 but it will never come because it changed to a bull shit.
Keep making shit 5 phones samsung, you'll sell them to kids as toys.

Nice try troll. The body is very sturdy with small bezels and cannot be bent like the iP6P or GN4, the battery can last over a day with moderate use since 5.1, and nobody's been complaining of burned-in screens.
Zenodroid, 14 Jul 2015shouldnt it be called nexus 6s, 6 plus or something ? why go back to 5, when 6 is out :P Nexus devices have been named after their screen size since way back with the Nexus 4...
Ovidiu, 14 Jul 2015What's wrong with you guys? 5 inch is more than enough. Why we cannot have a smaller Nexus?! ... moreI think 5.2 is perfection, but that's just personal preference, I went back to using my iPhone 4 as a media player and it felt so tiny, the nexus 4 had a good size though I will admit.
