Doug, 17 Jul 2015Why no Snapdragon 820, Motorola? Maybe because they're keeping it for the Droid Turbo successor...the Droid Turbo comes with SD805 while the 2014 Moto X comes with SD801.

Also judging by the specs, th... moreMoto G is known to be a Budget phone with good sepcs if they put a 1080p screen and snapdragon 615 and all the other higher midrange specs then the cost will be at least 20k which takes away all the perks of moto g and no one will buy it because the price is very high.

Why Motorola can launch Moto G this spec RAM 1G... ... moreMoto g will launch with 2 version 1gb and 2gb ram the 1gb model will be cheaper which is what the moto G is known for and 2gb will be a little more expensive and as rumoured if moto g comes with moto maker then you will have to pay extra for customizing it the way you want.

Anonymous, 17 Jul 2015Because sd 820 overheats worse than sd 810.Snapdragon 820 does not overheat Motorola is planning to launch two versions of moto x one with 5.2 inch which will have a snapdragon 810 and one with 5.7 inch display which will most probably have the snapdragon 820.

I mean 720p is rather low end right now so obviously not an ootion, and QHD is really overkill (ie you'll never notice the diff between FHD and QHD except under a microscope) moreover, also QHD noticably impacts preformance and drains battery life. I think that FHD is actually the best comprise. Lets rather focus on battery life now so my phone can work longer than 20 mins on a go!
