Neither Apple nor Samsung invented nor coined the word 'Plus'. Not any of the phone makers did. But Samsung wasn't the first to use Plus on phones (repeat 'phones', before smartphones)
i have the s6 edge i like it very much and got almost no problems only the RAM bug
i hope samsung will fix it soon cause it is really annoying
if i understand it right there will be almost no differences between the s6 edge and the s6 edge+ only that the screen is bigger
and the note 5 would have an snapdragon 808 processor i compared it to the exynos 7420 processor and the results are strange the exynos 7420 wins from the snapdragon 808
why would samsung release an newer phone with a older processor?

OverTheHedge, 21 Jul 2015I honestly think Samsung could have (and should have!) named it differently instead of calling... moreStop trolling. Apple didn't invent the word "plus". Samsung is using it for years now.
Anonymous, 22 Jul 2015actually, Samsung's original definition of the "plus" designation is that they creat... moreTrue. Samsung have been using 'Plus' denotion since 2011 in their Galaxy phones and tablet. Back then the 'Plus' denotion is meant for a modified or alter Samsung smartphone to be better than it previous predecessor within a few months of time span. Now, the denotion is used to indicate screen size. However, Samsung use the symbol '+' instead of 'Plus' to differentiate what they are doing. It is the same way they did with 4G LTE and LTE-A.
m86k, 21 Jul 2015You were faster than me. http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_i9001_galaxy_s_plus-3908.php htt... moreactually, Samsung's original definition of the "plus" designation is that they created a faster version of the same phone a couple of months later (just like the "advance" moniker). While apple's "plus" definition is of a bigger screen of the regular iphone. In this case, people are blaming samsung for copying because of the same reason of using the "plus" definition as apple, as in having a bigger edge screen (but in this case, they are releasing an inferior processor)
Anonymous, 21 Jul 2015S6+ will cost more than the iphone 6+. Samsung why copy same naming convention of I phone there not there copying the naming convention of samsungs own 2011 serious plus phones. it was apple which would have copied again
Iphones never has a bigger device in addition to smaller/standard one... Until recently when they tried to copy....
Samsung always has them..
Snapdragon 808? what? serious? well that closes everything for me here .. I'm getting myself a Note 5.
mir 2.0, 22 Jul 2015Another iphone fanboy that does not know what he's talking about! Get it through your thick sk... moreYes, but the iPhone "Plus" denotes a larger screen which is exactly what Samsung is implying. That convention had not been used before by Samsung, and suddenly...

It might just be me that's bothered... but if the regular S6 edge is the one on top, then why does it have a Qualcomm 4G sticker on it?
so this is another fake iphone made by 'the great copycat company'.
poor samsung.. you cant afford to employ a good designer, then you decided to steal from apple.
you even steal '+' name from apple.
