hello,
since i upgraded my xperia z1 to android 5.0.1 my radio stopped working, any advise?
i'm waiting now for the new upgrade 5.1 to see if the problem will be fixed.

Does anyone know what happens if I use flashtool? If my phone was locked to a particular carrier, then I unlocked it, and after that I use flashtool with an official ftf image to upgrade to 5.1.1... will it return to its previous locked state? Or will it remain unlocked (carrier-free)?

Michal o2, 22 Jul 2015and there is my..running my Z3 still on 4.4.4 and my phone says that my software is up to date:/your device is probably from a carrier plan.. they do not include the carrier plan phones on the update list unless the carrier is specifies that it is ok to do so.. that happened to my xperia C with badly needed the software update for the battery.. but the update really wont show up anywhere

My vodafone z2 hopefully won't be far behind.

Do you have a different kernel or custom ROM installed? If not, you need to force the phone to get the update. Clean data on "software update" app and force stop it. Then restart your phone. Now check for updates again.
If this does not work, try factory reset.
If this does not work, install it through sony pc suite. You will find the guide to do that online.
