I wish it was 16Mp in pureview mode. Maybe microsoft comes with that after rumors suggest 3 times more pixels in comparison.
With a sealed design i highly doubt it will come with Micro SD expansion..Look like i'll be keeping my Note 4 around another year.
While making a slot for the sdcard how about making a couple of slots next to it for batteries?
Soldier46, 22 Jul 2015I'm sold. Thank you Micro SD card Gods and Samsung.Loooooooooooool
Note 3 is still the Note to buy. don't waste your money on those rebrands without detachable battery.
And now this news. I really hope this is true. Just shatters all those people saying "UFS can't be compatible with micro SD cards"- if that's true, USB OTGs wouldn't work as well. Haha.
Memory expansion is a big deal, mainly for volume storage, and not for apps operation. Micro SD cards can go up to 80 to 100mbps - that's like HDD speed. We all know UFS is a lot faster like SDDs - great to have that for its apps running protocols.
Well still see if this will indeed become a reality 3 weeks' time. Still sad that there infrared blaster and removable battery will be gone.
chorgox, 22 Jul 2015unless the battery last a week, stop this nosense of no removable battery It is that you don't normally charge your battery prior to week ?
Anonymous, 22 Jul 2015No need new note=No need to commentOk ok all understand you no need anything xD
I dropped my 9 month old Note 4 last monday and cracked it's glass. I was gonna buy a new one but I think I will wait for the Note 5. I don't care if it does have a memory card slot or not or even a removable battery, just hurry up Samsung! Make us (Samsung fans) proud of the next Note series. Please.
Ulysses31, 22 Jul 2015I've seen too many leaks and rumours to blindly believe this is all true because sites make mi... morePeople saying they don't need an SD slot are forgetting the fact that if your phone breaks you've just lost everything on it's memory or you could spend a fortune having the phone disassembled to recover data from the internal memory, but with an SD you just take it out and put in the next phone.
I've seen too many leaks and rumours to blindly believe this is all true because sites make mistakes all the time when listing specs.
And even if it does have the SD slot that I need I'm still not sure if I want a glass back because it doubles the risk of damaging phone so will need a heavy duty case which I never need on plastic phones because they are better at absorbing impacts.
Anonymous, 22 Jul 2015i dont care about micro sd slot, its nice to have... but removable battery is a mustunless the battery last a week, stop this nosense of no removable battery
By taking away the removable battery and the microSD slot, Galaxy Note 5 will only have the OS as a true differentiator between it and Apple.
Trunks KPH, 22 Jul 2015You can't compare 1 leak to another leak and say one is wrong when we haven't seen the device.... moreI'm not referring to the prototype Note, but several leaked schematics (onleaks) and a dummy from allaboutsamsung. You have to look where the rumor came from. Evleaks for example was 99% right with its "leaks" and so is Sammobile and Allaboutsamsung. Onleaks, Sammobile, Allaboutsamsung were saying the same thing about specs. Now a UA Prof of Sprint shows up stating the opposite. Sites like Sammobile have sources within Samsung. Their exclusive Infos are always right! Specs for the Note 5 are according to them:
Exynos Soc, 4GB RAM, No microSD.
The UA Profile says: Qualcomm Soc, 3GB RAM and microSD slot. It should be obvious that the Profile is just a placeholder.
