Sacrificing screen-to-body ratio for design. Can't blame them for desiring to build an almost one off design language (although would most likely function just as other smartphones) to staple a new face for a new product line. They must have hoped they could perhaps change prospects' perception of what a ZTE phone looks like for the next couple of years (or months). Oh yeah, months because... enter a barrage of their upcoming midrange to low end phones that might just share design cues from their flagship or high end models. ASUS had a change in stature ever since they unveiled their first series of ZenFone line. And it went well for them

Im actualy an owner of LG G2, and screen to body ration was one of the reasons i bought it. Headphone jack on the bottom is important for me too :)

AnonD-395287, 22 Jul 2015Funny how companies nowadays consider 5inch as mini and 5.5 normal size.... Two years ago 5inc... moreWhat's even more funny is how it's already 2015 and an observable amount of consumers still confuse display/screen size with form factor/dimensions. Haven't LG with their G2 taught us something? Or how about Sharp's Aquos line?

Going to go on a limb and say vanilla 4'', 4.5'', and 5'' are the most ideal for "Mini". 5.2'' is such a negligible measurement. I do like antimicrobial though, I habitually bleach the shell/covers to my smartphones just to have that new-clean feel.

What a gorgeous phone set. I have a HTC One S and I can see its influence here in the design. The One S remains a very stylish HTC unit so I'm glad to see it here. The Specs on these new phones are great. I would have been more than keen on a true mini version at 4.7 amoled so as next best thing I will keep an eye on the 5.2 specs.
Oh my if hTC went back to this and forgot the blink feed and bezel it would be a win win. Good on you ZTE. good job, I hope the mini is available outside of china.

Bomj, 22 Jul 2015Because of Apple back then trying to brainwash consumers into believing that 4.5" screen ... more1. It's 4" not 4.5".
                        2. It's ideal for one-handed usage, not "every multimedia needs".
                        3. It's a mobile phone, it should be mobile, pocketable, and easy to hold and operate with one normal-sized hand. If I want to enjoy "every multimedia needs" on a big screen, I go to my PC/laptop/HDTV.
