Anonymous, 26 Jul 2015It does makes me wonder why people keep asking for stock android. If all android smartphone us... moreExactly.

If there is one thing I've learnt whilst using Android devices is that updates generally suck. They don't work as good as the OS that shipped with the device.

I'd love to see Sony gut Android and create a feature phone. Just phone, text, imagery and a bit of music. 2.4" screen. Candy bar shape.

Plus it has brought a lot of improvements over the somtimes too simple stock Android.

AnonD-178450, 24 Jul 2015Stock Android UI is the most boring. Sony should move away from it.It does makes me wonder why people keep asking for stock android. If all android smartphone use the same stock android ui, all smartphone will be boring. The same thing on every other android phones. I know stock android is fast but let just leave it to Google Nexus devices and Motorola for the boring stock android experience.

The UI in market is successful like MIUI, because it satisfies every persons creativety. Sony should give more options to customers to change its UI at their own...other do why sony not.

To be honest, the main reason i never considered buying a phone from Sony was the UI. It is dated and remeniscent of their dumb phones from years ago. Their hardware design updates have also been poor with Z2, Z3, Z4 looking almost identical.

I would gladly pick up a new TV from Sony (2015 android models especially) or a PS4, but unless they seriously rethink their mobile strategy my money will surelly go to their competitors.

Just bundle Google Now Launcher instead. As far as offering something different is concerned, Sony already has plenty to set Xperia's apart.
