Dodo, 24 Jul 2015LOL! As if anyone cares what someone like you thinks....
The stats are in, Apple Watch did ... moreNo need to expect other watches other then Apple watch. Like moto.
Because they are just gonna copy Apple watch again.
Anonymous, 23 Jul 2015i'm calling BS on those numbers, as there is no way the apple watch has sold more than all and... moreLOL! As if anyone cares what someone like you thinks....
The stats are in, Apple Watch did well for a first gen product and while I am not crazy about any of the smart watches, the Apple Watch is the best of them to my taste, by a good margin.
The Moto is the only other notable product and I am waiting to see what they do for their 2nd generation offering.
Yesterday based on the finances analysts were suggesting 1.5 to 2.5 million units ... and now this one says 4 million.
$1 Billion increase to the "other" category is dating they would be selling the apple watch at $250. Given the CHEAPEST is $350 is easy to see these numbers are crap. Especially given there is a $10-14k model and others includes accessories (probably beats now also) and apple tv.
Look they are good numbers, but seriously so with the BS.
Do you really believe that? I've never seen anybody here in Netherlands carrying apple thing, even in mediamarkt you can't see.
They pumping news with false numbers but its empty, even apple regret about its watch.
In a year apple got almost all of share of wearable, in a year apple get %99 of sales of smart phones.
All of these are false, nothing true...
If it is so, why you buy ip6 with 34 euro contract with no extra payment, why price down so much because won't sell.
If you compare screen of ip6 and galaxy 4 even s3 you will choose S3, S4 faster than ip6 and smart people know that, even camera is better than s6.
Yeah yeah, apple gets big part of tart but it is a fart.
They doing that only for cours nothing more, showing apple most precious company.
Apple is nothing if Samsung, Toshiba, Sony, TSMC even Qualcomm doesn't exists.
Apple want to dominate everything, sorry people behind apple in dark shadows...
But people getting smart, seeing future, against slavery...
That is why Android growing f.kn extreme fast and being voice of freedom...
Don't think Android is only google, Android is an artwork created by people arround the world for the people.
I wouldnt call anything without e-ink and android and low-price a success, because most of users got android and do not have that kind of money for smartwatch without always-on screen and long lasting with bt on. Only thing that apple probably captured most out of all brands would be money, because of how pricy it is.(Even me, who lives in andr. world so I dont care much about it, got quite a shock how much it cost 2times of the most pricy andr watch - to 20times of the cheapest ones, even being late after samsung, pebble+others few gen., they did take price sky high like its something revolutionary/new to the market)
Well, guess we'll need to wait for the official data, I suspected Apple would outsell any other wearable pretty comfortably.
They're fantastic at marketing and delivering a polished product,
But I didn't expect it to be as high as 75%.
i'm calling BS on those numbers, as there is no way the apple watch has sold more than all android wear watches, pebbles, garmins, and all proprietary OS watches.
Eske Rahn, 23 Jul 2015Sorry, typo: ...that it did not...U should prolly need a dictionary
Last year, samsung was n.1 because they released like 10 smartwatches. Samsung, unlike their phones, did not spam smartwatches this year so it's understandable that they lost marketshare (to the "others" group).

Budget smart watch looks better than this. If it is not for the logo of an apple with a bite, nobody will pay attention to this cheap looking device with sky high price.
Duel, 23 Jul 2015Round face smartwatches just doesn't work, it loses a lot of information. How will a round face lose information? stooooopid comment of the day goes to Scq7. Some people should not be allowed near the internet.
The Apple watch UI is painful to use. They got it all wrong with small touch targets, to the point they had to put a "crown" to overcome this problem.
I bought one when visiting US and sold it for a premium when got home. I know it sounds ridiculous, but for now I'll keep my Pebble. Works, does what it needs to do (notification and replies, navigation, weather/ocean data, Yelp and BT music control) and I don't need to worry about battery. I'll certainly update to Time.
Of course, I want a functional, always-on smart watch, not a decorative fashion, expensive piece. Android watches are OK, but their battery life is outrageous.
AnonD-82281, 23 Jul 2015You're caught up in semantics. Would you prefer the words: added, boosted or how about 'finall... moreWith 5 million it still is a tiny tiny niche. It is less than Danes compared to the world population...
I'm sure that wearables will be big, once useful devices are launched (no matter the brand) - but the technology is simply not there yet, they are ALL similar to the (literally) brick sized first mobiles: More like a proof on concept, but not anything near something that will have a broad appeal.
They ALL have made some severe compromises, as it is simply not (yet!) possible to make a watch sized device with an always on many-colour display that has a stamina of at the least a week
I've written on this numerous times in the disqus-blog.
I'm quite sure that if you gave the new 4 million Iwatch users a completely similar device with some 'no-name' branding, over 90% would not touch it with a poker,
That junk won't get 5% even! this is just the way Apple build market.
No one goes for such smart watch that is not even water resistant!
Operation Blitz, 23 Jul 2015Hahaha what a load of rubbish !! Probably the 75% of market are all Apple employees!!! I won'... more"I won't buy ANY phone watch until battery life is so much better and can last at least a week before needing a charge! "
And few years ago it was like "i won't buy a smartphone because it has to be charged every day, my current phone last week." And where we are now... :D
