Hahaha actually most politicians in Pakistan are corrupt and they do shady business with other countries the military is having a hard time tracking them because there using BlackBerry and the company is refusing them on handling over the info so there just gonna block it. Well serves them right passport is still not available there.

Like Lenin said, these are useful idiots. Real terrorists could always use P2P networks with highly encrypted (PGP-like) emails and messages, working through proxies and vpns in a cat-and-mouse game forever. It is not rocket science if you know basics of network communications and is at least lightly funded.
These governments don't want to spy on terrorists. They want to spy on common people and common business so they can control YOU, and gain technology and become rich and empowered. They want to feed on other people, like any politician. They want to assess the feeling of the general population, know who thinks this and who thinks that, and as such defuse any kind of movement that can take them out of power.
Terrorism is only the lubed excuse they can use to shove that up on common citizens.

My communications are exclusively my private matter. That's how I think it should be - but it is not. I don't trust anyone and I think lack of privacy is the end of mobile communications.

Security agencies have time and again requested Blackberry to provide them with access to emails but have been denied. Since Pakistan is facing extreme security situation due to foreign funded terorism such measures were inevitable and agencies have enough evidence that such services were used by foriegn funded terrorists to carry out their heinous activities in the country

They should get permission before they start spying around someone suspicious. Everything else is wrong! I have nothing to hide but I really don't like the idea that anyone can spy my communications.
