U just nailed it bro & wrote exactly what i was thinking .I hate the new Gsmarena UI .plz bring back the previous one or atleast give a option to switching to old one.if thats very hard for ur ego.. atleast remove the forever present search bar and place it somewhere else .lol ..i must say whoever designed this ui must be out of his mind while creating it.or he is just not paid enough..lol

3 weeks and I'm still not used to this. :-(
I like most of the new options and possibilities but the layout still feels like a mess. Fonts are too big (and I got a bigger monitor recently... Still too big, too much scrolling to read one page) and important stuff is too far to the right, worse than Facebook. I try to read a review and get tired after 2 pages. Oh well.
Also, when I'm reading opinions about some phone, how do I go back to the specs?

The fact they continue to use the new over the old is fact they sold out on it.
                Terrible terrible executive decisions..

I've been an avid user of GSMArena for years both in and out of work using it as a tool to compare phones personally and for customers. With the surprise change in UI I must say I am disappointed that not only were we not notified of the change but it's horrible in every aspect.

The front page is awful and the latest stories is a tiny middle widget whilst ads and other irrelevant crap take up space.

The search function is broken half the time, layout of article is horrid and there's way too much space being wasted.

Guess that's a couple dozen hits less you'll be receiving due to this ugly UI.

I wanted to be less biased and bothered to watch the clip first. This being said, my browsing patterns are evenly split between PC, tablet and mobile. I can't complain about the mobile page, as to me it seems it underwent less changes, but the desktop version is a mess. First of all, the front page has everything jumbled up. Secondly, there's the huge waste of space both on the front page and the articles themselves. Putting in my two cents, I think the news, reviews and blog section should have remained separate. At least we knew where to find a certain piece of information. Now I'm not gonna say bring back the old GSMArena, because that's highly unlikely to happen, unless visitor numbers really drop dramatically, and because someone put time and effort into this redesign and his ego won't let him admit he screwed up here and there. But at least some bits and pieces can be re-redesigned. :) Still enjoy the reviews though, but hate the jumbled news and blog sections.

wer, 31 Jul 2015people complain about new UI is worse then old one. Every site with new UI is worse then old o... moreIrrelevant. Change is only needed when it's necessary, OR the change is actually better than the old version, in this case neither is applicable.

I don't know why GSMArena had the interest to change anything at first place! I mean who was complaining about the old design!

At least give us the option to choose the old theme, it was clearer and simple more than this !

I feel strongly about the new design, and have felt the need to register to comment. I've been using GSMA since 2001 / 02, and I've been coming to it again and again because of how easy and elegantly clear the website was, making it really easy to go to / look at any section of the site, and obtaining information at a glance.

Nowadays, when I come to the site, my eyes just seem to dart around, not knowing where to look, before I start to make sense of all the information being presented, requiring mental effort to look at any one column. The old website on the other hand, even though it presented the same type of information, was divided in a seamless manner that was pleasing on the eyes, and intuitively I knew where to look.

That's where I think the new website really does not keep up to that pleasing effect. I have a snapshot of the old website, and sitting here, I'm comparing both, and the old one is just so much more intuitive. I don't think the problem is with finding the old features & information (which the video is trying to help with), as the sections are still divided, such as news, reviews, blog, and so on. However, it just requires so much more effort in keeping focussed on one section without my eyes unconsciously darting around, which unfortunately for such a strong brand, makes it frustrating and disappointing.

A good example is when looking at one column, such as "news" in the new site. I find the boxes for the first four articles today are differently sized (this includes the box size and the image size), which causes my eyes to dart around as there is no uniformity, but scrolling down further, the boxes and image sizes within that column become uniform, and start to have a much better pleasing effect. The old site also had different sized boxes for the "reviews" section, however, it was beautifully divided with the first review being large, and the following review articles being half of the first review article, having a sense of overall symmetry that made it pleasing to the eyes.

I hope you listen to your readers, and if not change it back to the old design, make enough improvements to unclutter the site's home page.

Don't beat around the bush, it's shit, a backward step and it's so damned hard to find anything now. I've reduced my visits significantly (been on here for at least the last 5 years)

So many things these changed to be 'modern' and end up inferior as a result, google Material Design, this... etc etc

I'm really disappointed with the change. Used to be easy and straightforward, now it's a huge mess with so many panels on the front page.

Yeah, the old site was view-able in a horizontal half of 1080p, this one is not. These new colors make it much less readable. And the important content, the news feed and blog, is truncated or buried under giant useless images and huge blocks of color. Do not like.

                                        New layout is fine.

But flip it. It's weird that all the text of stories are on the right, and all the (useless) links are on the left. The English language does not read like that. It's just a bit amateurish.
