I would hazard to say, since you appeal to majority use as the crucial consideration, that the majority do not need that double device array. The question is why bother with any one expensive flagship device, e.g. the Note 5, if it's crippled, and we end up needing two devices. You make the point PERFECTLY. Stick with Apple for whatever reason you like it. Stick with double device account charges, blah blah blah. In fact, why DO you have a Note at all? Why not an Apple and a second Apple? Are seriously so flush that you need two personal devices, and double charges? You paid whatever hundreds of dollars for a pen device as a single feature???? Weird use of your money.
Stick with Note 4 or buy another brand. Simple.

When it came out, memory cards of 2GB cost $75 to $100 in 2007/2008. They didn't want you sliding in media you did not buy from them. In other words, it was plain milking you Apple fans since it was "only 99 cents" to get a song thinking it was so cheap. That's even why you put up with iTunes.
Ryo Saeba, 02 Aug 2015Thing is, most people don't need a memory slot. You know why Apple is so successful? (I own b... moreWrong, because a big drop in sales equals a LOSS on investment, not just a failure to profit. Lack of features equals fewer peasants buying the device. Enough peasants disliking the feature set equals loss. Your point is that "only a few" dislike this DOWNGRADE. Our point is hahahaha you are probably wrong. Go ahead and gamble with your investment money. ANd on the Next round get it right. Put 128G UFS 2 in, or keep SD, or risk taking a loss. Any one of 3 options, Samsung's choice.
Ryo Saeba, 02 Aug 2015Thing is, most people don't need a memory slot. You know why Apple is so successful? (I own b... moreApple has its segment. THIS was supposedly the added feature segment, like with things we want that Apple does have. Pen. Replaceable battery. SD card. If we wanted the Apple feature set, we can buy Apple. If we want these, we can keep our N4. If the rumors about N5 are correct, it has no differentiation from Apple other than the pen, and that's important but a DOWNGRADE. If rumors are correct, would advise any sane person to get / keep N3 or N4 which are excellent, or stay with Apple if they don't need the Note features. Blacker blacks with slightly less power use is twaddle. Insist on a proper explanation from Samsung if these rumors are correct, because this is going to blow up big in the general press if true. Remember the Palm Pre and what happened when the feature set was trimmed and we couldn't access PDFs any more? Dead production. N5 without Note capabilities will deserve to die.
Samsung supposedly has a 128G UFS 2 set available on large scale production run since February. Or so we are told. So why would the flagship device have a measly 32G on board? Yes, we can use the charger slot to OTG a SD reader or thumb drive, and forego charging, but WHY ? How much did the SD reader component cost to install, how much does SD actually slow down other components (claimed, but seemingly not quantified?), is there a TRUE incompatability with the new internal memory (or is it "incompatibility" in quotes), who is doing the cost / benefit analysis and how did they dream up a flagship cripple with 32G. Have 2 phones on account, on different 2 year cycles, one me, one for GF. Why would either of us IMAGINE getting an N5 that is a major downgrade in features.... oh, wait a minute, at several hundred dollars for us ????? Not happy if this rumor of 32G is correct, as the entire ecosystem for Note is going to be messed up with unhappy non-ungraders.

Thing is, most people don't need a memory slot. You know why Apple is so successful? (I own both types of device btw) It is because they serve the general public, not the minority. They never had a memory slot in their phones, any how many people cared? Just spend the extra and buy the memory built in. Of course, I'm sure you can think of hundreds of reason why you'd need a memory card slot, but again, the majority of the population don't need it. And that's where the money is. They couldn't care less if you bought another brand. You wouldn't make a ding in their profit margins.
Was hoping for Micro SD support, but at the same time I won't be surprised if it doesn't have it when it releases. With no support on the S6, i don't see why they'd keep support on the Note. Part of Samsung's new "forward thinking" direction. IE, make you pay more for a phone if you want that extra storage. Buncha BS if you ask me...

You should try it before giving up.
According to the article I can say only few words...Shame on you Samsung you will soon learn your lesson. You Should Listen to Your Customers' Needs
The only useful hardware feature that the Note 5 can only offer to me is the S Pen. A shame really. The Note series was to always be the top notched innovative and versatile large-phone device. It isn't this time. The Note 4 happens to beat it.
Sounds like the Samsung hired some c*cky iPhone designer - "Aluminium... aluminium... aluminium..." Let's just protest by NOT buying this iPhone-wannabe and see weak sales.
I'll go get an LG G4 cuz it offers removal battery, sd card expansion, great camera and all that...this is the only 2015 flagship which impress me till this moment...bye bye samesung
No microSD still ok but 64GB internal will be good enough for games and movies. However, best not to sync with cloud, too slow...sync with pc harddisk drive everytime plugging in better. No removable battery then is a problem, unless Samsung have one-to-one exchange like Apple or else they will have another chance to give excuses on bloated battery or defective battery issues at service centers where customers not able to judge by themselve.
i will stick with my note 4 gladly

Now, galaxy note users including galaxy s6 variant users able to delete samsung bloatware apps. This feature will come on the next samsung patches update. So le me get this right..
Instead of adding useful features like WATERPROOF (a feature that every high end phone above 300 euros should have), Sammy is taking features OFF like SD Card and removable battery.. HOW STUPID CAN YOU BE??
I'm not a brand fan of anything, but if you search with advanced search on this website, the best phones(having the features i choose, like waterproof & sd card) are always SONY!
Premium materials, premium features: GO SONY!
Sammy.. u suk! U iPhone wannabe..
