Will buy this one. No SD + No Removable Battery = No Problem for me. I'm still loyal to the Galaxy Note series for it's functionality.
Done deal no buy. If we wanted an iphone or Galaxy S6 Samsung we would buy one. No sd card you get nothing.
Shinn, 01 Aug 2015As a Samsung Experience Consultant, not having an SD card slot has not been a disadvantage to ... moreDear Experience Consultant, no thanks for your personal opinion. I travel 50 miles each direction through poor reception area. Do you not grasp that playing my large SD music library through my Bluetooth has made things very nice? 5 years, no SD failure at all. Phone rings, music pauses, call happens via Bluetooth, music resumes. If N5 lacks SD I am sticking to N4. On the other hand you can wax on about being an Experience Consultant. What would I know as an actual consumer???
razr, 02 Aug 2015Same specs as s6. Just bigger and with the stylus. Samsung never learns. And they expect this ... moreThe "stylus" isn't just some simple solid plastic of the past stylus based devices. It's an active digitizer pen with pressure input that detects how light or hard you're pressing it onto the screen. This can produce thin or thick lines when you need to - great for artists and designers sketching.
Same specs as s6. Just bigger and with the stylus. Samsung never learns. And they expect this phone to save their slipping profits? Good luck with that.
I sold my s6 and got a note4 instead because of the missing sd card, weaker battery than s5, and missing camera features like drama shot. It seems the note4 will stay with me for a while. It's sad to see Samsung repeat their mistakes. I have been a loyal Samsung fan since the s2.
Anonymous, 02 Aug 2015no removable battery = no buy just go die shamesung! how about i phone?
MelLR, 02 Aug 2015So,given these less than stellar Note5 specs are correct... What is the best choice phone? I h... moretechnically still the note 5. if you really need the missing features then the note 4. unless you are looking for a very specific purpose then it might be another device
Anonymous, 01 Aug 2015this is just another lag bloated touchwiz phone. who care ?! Bloatware had been removed. China sue samsung for undeleteable apps. Now samdung make their useless bloatware apps deleteable in new patches for note 3 and galaxy s6.
This tipster is lying about the chipset. It's almost certainly a clocked up version of the Cortex A57 cores with more gpu cores, possibly the new Exynos 7422. I don't believe that they go insist in the same 7420 soc.
No SD Card Slot, No Note 5. Bye Samsung. See ya next year and hopefully you will learn anything until then.
Thanks for the news on the chipset. The apparent lack of innocation again helps me to finally decide to get an Apple watch, after which I can just stick with iPhone for years to come as I don't change watch as frequent as mobile phones.
Nop, should be the top phone.
No microSD, not better nor faster than the S6.
Expect huge sales of Note 4.
No SD card + No FM Radio + No Dual SIM = No Buy + Dead.
So,given these less than stellar Note5 specs are correct... What is the best choice phone? I have been limping along on an S4 waiting (hoping) for the Note5 but just can't see the Note5 hapening.
Anonymous, 01 Aug 2015Note 4 Exynos is betterSays the power user. To everyone who has a life.......Exynos being "better" doesn't really matter when it comes to how you use your phone. If it works its great.
Good job samesong team. The cow has been milked enough. Would you consider an innovative move to make a hole in the middle of your next flagship device s7/note 6 so that the users can peep/stalk each other?
I really feel that they should've used an Exynos 7422 at the very least, instead of using the same 7420 in the S6. And at least add another slot for the mSD card.
