I've contemplated this myself, but didn't wanna spend extra on a soon to be superflous device, when I'm more than pleased with my LG G2.
I'm just on 2 weeks using a WP Lumia 640xl. After 5 years on the Droids I'm not missing them. WP is a refreshing change and I've been able to find my rugby used apps and not left wanting.
Fokuji, 01 Aug 2015I've always been and Android user since 2009, but that wouldn't prevent me from acknowledging ... moreI think with the new capabilities that have come with Windows 10 Mobile regarding Android apps being ported if not sideloaded without any changes (or very little mods to the original code), this may reduce the 'perceived' app gap.
On the subject of the capacitive/onscreen buttons, I think it's a wise idea as the onscreen buttons will make way for more screen real estate which is always at a premium for smartphones. Playing around with a 640 with these buttons I found them quite practical and I found I didn't inadvertently hit the Search or Back button (which has happened before to me).
Ulhaqpak, 02 Aug 2015Please release them soon Android is like a cancer for meand that cancer will never be treated again by google after 2 years.
nkwama, 02 Aug 2015wait a minute, what is the difference between the two, capacitive buttons and on screen buttons???By "capacitive buttons" they mean touch buttons on the bezel rather than on the screen. The name is a bit silly, since it's the same capacitive touch technology in both cases.
Anonymous, 01 Aug 2015On-Screen buttons? No thanks microsoft... I will go for some other device... I think microsoft... moreI think I am going to like the on-screen start/menu buttons with the option to hide and un-hide them. I use L1520, I cannot count the number of times I have mistakenly hit the search button.
wait a minute,
what is the difference between the two, capacitive buttons and on screen buttons???

Only Nexus devices, Android One and Cyanogen OS devices they feel a bit fine but the rest of them are shiiit to use even Galaxy and LG G series
i'm wondering if the long wait for these phones is so developers have the tools to port apps way easier. It's possible that MS might actually be planning to do something big and having a ton of new apps ported over with some flagship releases could really help their cause.
Many will be happy if Screen elongates to full resolution after the Buttons are hid.this is the Why we're frustated.
Google is trash. They made Android so that OEMs and carriers can put malwares and bloatwares on it and allow UI customization to slow down updates. Google sits back, collects data, and sell ads/data. They made Android insecure and gave in to OEMs to gain marketshare.
Android is way too unsecure to use in business. It's just a toy. Here is another sercurity risk for billions users. This is the second big one.
Need capacitive buttons.. Hate those on screen buttons..
And pls hardware camera shutter button..
Anonymous, 02 Aug 2015sorry the note is the factual best objective device and android does a lot more than wp or ios... moreAnd then it's outclassed by something that will be announced next year, and in development in probably less than a month that phone-tablet even came out. So that isn't objective, the Note may be a decent Android series device, but it's going downhill if the lack of basic utilities is of any indication.

wp is great however and dramatically better than ios except for ios having more apps. wp is closer to what ios claims to be...and then some
It's hilarious how many posers influence these big corporations, you all b!tch up a storm about battery life and User-Appeal, but when an OS that offers both of these (Windows 10) at a reasonable cost comes along, you sh!t out the same "Android and iOS are too big you're too late" trash.
No wonder everything is a bland, fragile mess. You kids were given phones like they aren't a privilege at age nine.
