that is uhs class 1 not class 3 , but there isnt much difference, uhs 3 is about 1.5x in input output operations.
, Samsung UFS memory conducts 19,000 input/output operations per second (IOPS) for random reading, which is 2.7 times faster than the most common embedded memory for high-end smartphones today, the eMMC 5.0. It also delivers a sequential read and write performance boost up to SSD levels, in addition to a 50 percent decrease in energy consumption. In addition, the random read speed is12 times faster than that of a typical high-speed memory card (which runs at 1,500 IOPS), and is expected to greatly improve system performance.
the only thing that bugs me is 1 of 2 things, number 1. samsung makes single chip 128GB modules. so why is there not a 128GB phone, on single chip would easily be able to fit 512GB in the same space as eMMC which is the current standard in phones. so why limit to the 32 and 64 chips only?
number 2. they didnt include sd card reader not because of space, because of the overall performance hit the device would take by adding it. and if they used a standard sd interface , like most phones do, you wouldnt get near the performance that your thinking you would by upping the speed class of the sdd card. your card is after all still limited by the interface your putting it into.
with the right interface though, i dont see why they couldnt modify there own ufs chips into an sd card. that would be one sweet sd card. if there was an interface which wouldnt limit it.
sd cards are like running a computer on an external harddrive with only a usb 1.0 connector.

Power+home+up/down button and hold down for 8-10 seconds phone will restart as usual. non-removable battery looks more simple and class to phone just like iphone. There is always the way out of it except complain and not finding a solution.
What. non removable battery !?? It renders the device useless especially when you get stuck or hang and rechargeable battery will be worn off in due time. I would say, "Sayonara to Samsung".

So it's got little to do with wanting to make the best phone and all about going style over substance and removing features to simplify to try to attract the Apple crowd.

Samsung just want their phone to be more like Google Nexus devices. They even work with Google in agreement for a monthly updates from now own. Samsung working closer with Google so that their Galaxy Note 5 will be the fastest super phablet ever exist and not just a slow productivity tools.

And why should I have to have a flash drive sticking out the bottom of the phone which has to be removed when charging?
All you're doing is trying to find compromise for problems that really don't need to exist, and especially not on $800 phones.
Micro SD card is overrated. Its slower compared to onboard flash memory, easy to lose and too often gets corrupted. There is better ways to store your data people. Cloud or if you really have too then OTG thumb drives
I don't like no micro SD card, this iPhone idea and design.
TheNeighbor, 04 Aug 2015"pay for cloud"? Terribly idea as the rest of the World have slow service band speed... moreThat's exactly why it's too early for Samsung to drop expandable memory but they are trying to copy off of Apple but Samsung can't seem to comprehend that Note users are less superficial in how they use their phones so use more features compared to what iPhone users do.
Also Apple offers their own cloud service so is much easier for them to need less phone memory.

The only idea i like was the fingerprint scanner at the power button. It could be even better if they make it like the Note Edge and turn the edge screen into a fingerprint scanner.
Dual sim means hybrid, use one slot for microsd if you like.
stay with note 4 not much changes now with no micro sd getting sucker
No micro SD slot and no removable battery ?
Samsung will not improve its financial performances with its "flagship" line of castrated devices...
(At the very least, not with my money !)

Terribly idea as the rest of the World have slow service band speeds. Pretty inconsistent speeds too. This is the reason for memory expansion... The bigger the better. 128GB Samsung micro SD card now around $75 - you get to store on the go media. Spending $1000+ for that 128GB because Samsung is mirroring what Apple does is plain senseless. Yeah, it's UFS 2.0, still no clear reasoning for spending $500 more for speeds you'll hardly need.
So what I'm gonna do withy newly bought Note 4? Bikin lap jubur? Even A 5.1.1 hasn't been released to N4 now N5.....
Note 6 Suggestions
1.) Front Facing SPEAKERS✿
-Stop copying iPhone's design. Samsung should try to beat Apple at the Front Facing Speaker design.
-I have a Note 3 since april 2014. And immediate i knew i wanted to upgrade to the Note 4. But when i saw that it has a backward facing speaker, i got very annoyed. So i didn't buy one. I'm holding on to my Note 3 while i wait for the Note 5. For me, Front Facing SPEAKERS should be the standard for all phones and tablets. I can't emphasise enough how stupid backward-facing speakers are. Even the side-firing speaker on my Note 3 is bad. I keep blocking the speaker in landscape mode.
-One Front facing Speaker will be a big improvement. But Dual or Stereo Front Speakers will be great.
2.) Capacitive-Touch Home Botton✿
- The One Plus 2 home button is a great design. It's a capacitive touch home button. I hate the pressable physical home button. I don't wanna keep pushing or pressing a button everytime i wanna go to the home screen. I just wanna touch or tap the home button. And i hate the on-screen buttons, by the way. Samsung should never do that on their phones.
-Another idea is put the Finger Print Sensor at the back like the Huawei Ascend Mate 7. It very works very well. Or put the Finger Print Sensor right at the Power On/Off button, like one chinese phone manufacturer are planning to implement.
3.) 6.5 Inch Display with 16:10 Aspect Ratio✿
- I like the galaxy Mega 6.3 screen size. Big screen but still fits in my pocket comfortably. But the rest of the specs are disappointing. The Note 3 and 4's 5.7 inch screen size is still phone size. With 6.5 inch display, the Note 5 will be a real Phablet (Phone/Tablet).
- I want a Note phone the same size as the Huawei MediaPad X2.
- One-Handed use is already impossible since the Note 2's 5.5" display. So, sumsung should make the Note 5 as big as possible.
-QHD or 1440p screen resolution is enough.
-Sapphire protection for the display would be great.
4.) Full DeskTop Mode Android for when i connect my phone to a TV via HDMI. Just like Windows 10 Continuum on phone and Ubuntu Convergence.✿
5.) ip68 Water & Dust Proof✿
-Samsung's Galaxy "Active" phone versions are ugly. Water and dust protection should be built-in on the samsung flagship phones.
-If the Note 5 is ip68 and still has a removable back cover, it will be great.
6.) USB Type C Port✿
-Faster Charging and faster wired data transfer.
7.) Dual SIM
Don't make the micro sd card and second sim swapable. I wan't to use a second sim and micro sc card both at the same time.
8.) Faux Leather Back Cover✿
- I like the lether look and rubbery feel of it. It provides better grip and prevents the phone being very slippery. It Shouldn't be real leather because real leather will absorb sweat everyday. It will smell very bad in just after a month. (based on my past experince with wrist watch leather straps)
- It doesn't matter if the back cover is removable or not.
- Don't make the back cover glass or metal. It's not very Note-like.
TheNeighbor, 04 Aug 2015They can put an EXTRA SIM slot but not a slot for memory expansion?! No excuse! No compromise!... moreThere's already talk of Samsung limiting availability of the Note as they want to sell more S6 Edge+ so I'm very confident they won't have many 128gb models available as they'll want more people on lower memory and pay to use the cloud or have to buy a new phone more regularly instead of just sticking a SD card in when they're out of memory.
No SDcard and No change battery No note 5 for me.Go to iPhone
My Friend wanted to upgrade from Note 3 to Note 5 .. But now as we see there is no sd card slot he is not even considering buying it. Kudos Samsung ...
32gb is fine When you have expandable memory, not for internal only storage. I'm gonna be sticking with my note 4. Why is Samsung doing this to us!
