Anonymous, 04 Aug 2015the reviews. they used to have numbers so we could directly jump to the page we want. ex the c... moreright indeed! as if they want us, the visitors to forcefully brows the whole content of the review, even though we just want to say, read the performance section of that particular review. Isn't it sound curtailment to you?

"Our new voting system and why it was necessary".

If I may: Our new commenting system which is; was; and perhaps, will still, be having much curtailments of suppose-to-be a genuine opinions, and the utmostness of unjustifiable comment censorship, will also be necessary?

it's true,
i remember that the voting system has been abused by Sony (Ericsson) fanboys for years.
i'm glad GSMA finally decided to remove it for good.

This is great, apple devices always got very low scores even when the device wasnt even in the market yet.

Sad jealous android boys gave those devices 1 points. Same happened with every Apple device, so pathetic.

Nice. I think the problem rooted from fanboys multiple accounts and votes. So if you had blocked creating accounts with same IP, the problem would have be resolved

Sorry GSMArena, but your voting system is rubbish. You need to scrap it again.

Suggestion:

1. Registered Users only

2. User has to vote for severals Brands (scale = I like / Don't know / I don't like)

3. On basis of the personal likes you have to weight their votes for each device

Example: If some user said that he don't like Apple phones and now has to vote for lets say the new IP6s you have to give more weight for a positive voting and less for negative voting. So if you don't like Apple and give the the IP6s a down vote (-1 point) the voting system will not count that as full negative vote but instead as -1/2 (-0,5 point) because your decision is compromised by your emotions. In contrast to that your positive vote for the IP6s will count more than 1 point lets say + 1,5 points. If you said before you don't have any positive or negative attitudes against Apple ("Don't know") your positive or negative vote will be counted as + 1 point for positive and -1 for a negative vote.

4. We need more differentiation in Voting! Not just a voting for the overall device but for characteristics too.

please add more features to the mobile site i.e. m.gsmarena.com, like the quick search, now you have to go to the search page first and the news preview should have comment numbers. the news/article page should have a comments preview too. the news preview list is too short and clicking next doesnt work on opera mini android. and wheres the top rated/most favorite phone list it should be there too

Now users can spy on each other, haha. At least there's no "private messages"... Yet?
As for the voting system, fair enough.

The results would have been more relevant if the site would check if the voting user owns the voted phone via an obligation to add the phone/phones the user owns to his account info. Maybe it's just my opinion.
