Qualcomm should do a "SD 801" of the SD 820, dubbed SD 821 with higher CPU frequency, better graphic & more efficient thermal property.
Put it in 2016 flagships and rock the market.
Let the SD 820 do the job for Q4 of this year.
Harmonica, 11 Aug 2015Exynos do well in benchmarks , but in real use it fail drastically.Stop making lame lies, i tried both Exynos is way way better.
Qualcomm wins in being open source for developers to make custom ROMs otherwise no one will look at their laggy overheated chip.
I prefer closed source because its more protected against hacking.

Even with low clocking, Exynos managed to beat Qualcomm.

Don't really know how I feel about this, I know thr s820 is going to be a beast, but no one can say that Qualcomm would've upped its game, if it weren't for the competition from Exynos

Nope, it's not the battery, this is indeed misinformation. The battery heats up only when charging.

When a phone heats up, that doesn't mean only the processor overheats, in most cases it's the battery. No other snapdragon, other than 615 and 810, overheat.
JBird, 11 Aug 2015And you know? Exynos was and is always better than Qualcomm. The Snapdragon 820 beat the Exynos 7420 in the single core performance. The Exynos 7420 beat the 820 in the multi core test. Exynos 7420 is a beast in the multi core test, it beats every processor on the market in the multi core test which matters more than the single core test!!!!

Long after it became clear it has huge problems, they kept on using it pretending everything's fine.
Plus, Qualcomm has always had problems with heat. Even 410 heats up a lot. And yet manufacturers insist on using them and not MTK.
