Tht's exacly why I am posting those high end specs mainly due to u gsmarena nerds. It seems that ALL of u want the MOST high end device!!! otherwise why bother looking at this NeXus1 if u can get cheaper HTC Magic with same Android 2.1 (with the hacker's help ofcourse)
a led screen and google coded os means noone knows what they're talking about. im getting this phone and i dont need a website for support. my equipment will be updated without asking people for help
Did I miss what kind of touchsscreen ?
Resistive or capacitive ?
Alsp, the "full specification" do NOT reveal what resolution that screen's got.
In the end, although you can read all the spec-sheets in the world, it's still how the stuff work in real life that counts.
( F.ex. the Nokia N900 seem to do really really well, in spite of a bit less hardware muscle. )
The iPhones´ versatility and ease of use are hard to beat, we must admit it.
But I personally want a physical keyboard, PLUS I just can't stand the iPhone camera - not even the 3Gs cam.
You'd hope that in a year touchscreens would have become A LOT better and much more affordable: I believe we're in a trasition stage regarding touch-screens.
Snowboardfreak, 01 Jan 2010I'm sorta starting to admire ur software Google (finally FM radio support), but those SPECS r ... moreYou must realize that these guys aren't gonna gamble the farm for anything Tegra 2 powered "niche" device if there isn't any clear indications of categorical expansion for said model(s) ergo long term viability.I agree with the other guy.So-called savvy users should hold it and start to push for the most important element in the equation to progress;batteries. And you're actually putting faith into these guys to take up the job?For example, you mentioned the i8910 Omnia HD.Look at how Samsung's handling that so far from launch till firmware updates?Nokia with the N900,still questionable portrait functions in the loop and yet with their usual audacity they launched the thing anyway. And of course HTC still sucks at cam functions but hey guess what the G1 and Hero nerds doesn't seem to be affected.I don't get that either but that's not the point.I mean while we're at it,what exactly's going on with Tegra "1"?We barely see anything else apart from MS' Zune HD and all of a sudden Tegra 2 comes into play.I'm not saying like it's a bad thing but how sure are we if nVIDIA's not confused in any way?The way things are going now, smartphones are getting too close to netbooks/ultra-portables' prices and it's HIGHLY debatable if that's a good thing.Look at Nokia...They have the luxury to half @ss up till the current efforts because???..I mean look at em.They stuck the same ARM 11 baseline from since what the N86 8mp?Till the X6 now.The buying public gave them the leeway and they'll keep milking it because people still thinks that it's OK.IMO frankly I don't see the sense and it's akin to rewarding mediocrity.Hence why now you're flipping that companies are slow.If newer featurephones can have all the connectivity 3G+Wifi covered,Flash supported web browsing AND just decent stills+video recording in hand AND YES even without apps dare I say it,who wants to bet if people would go back to normal laptops+featurephones combo days all over again?I see some models already coming.People are being suckered into paying for BETA products and if it was me I sure as hell won't "beta test" a Tegra 2 smartphone that's not gonna be cheap for sure. Not to mention that'd be just plain stupid.
Nexus One it's end iPhone or Nokia high end phones high price?
Snowboardfreak, 01 Jan 2010I'm sorta starting to admire ur software Google (finally FM radio support), but those SPECS r ... moreSounds like a phone that will need a car battery to keep it running for a full day. Seriously. Until battery technology catches up to power hungry devices, I don't think you can get this type of setup. That's being realistic.
I'm sorta starting to admire ur software Google (finally FM radio support), but those SPECS r simply PATHETIC to non-believe!!
It's gonna be 2010 in a few hours - what were u thinking...
exact same display as my i8910 HD, but crappy camera (blame HTC) with no HD recording, no internal memory, no 5.1 surround sound via speakers, same old crappy SLOWdragon processor (where is Tegra 2 when u most need it??)... 512MB RAM yep that's the start! (wonder if we actually need that much)
point is: by the end of 2010 we should expect:
1)Dual Core 2GHz Tegra 2
2)1080p HD recording and playback (once again thanks to tegra)
4)32GB internal storage (for storing those HD videos obviously)
5)1500mAh battery with optinal solar panel
Incoming Xperia X10, and HTC Bravo r not worthy either...
Companies get to work!!
it seems a phone upgrade improves reception. this phone will surf the web like butter w/ excellent battery life
Anonymous, 31 Dec 2009What city where you living when you had to stand on top of your roof to get the 2 bar 3G from ... moreI am in Dallas/Fort Worth!!!! Cmon DFW, thats the biggest metroplex in Texas next to Houston!!!! Its not like im in Calvert or some weird town way out in the middle of nowhere. It's not just my area either. A friend of mine couldn't get a 3G signal from TMobile from his house either and he lives within the major metro area. U can also see the tower from his house too!!!!! Their GSM signal is too weak to penetrate shrubs and trees and maintain relative strength after bouncing off of objects in its path. that's where CDMA shines!!! I get every single bar with Sprint. Never had ONE dropped call...
Tooooo expensive !
Wasnt the Android OS supposed to bring cheap smartphones to the market ????!?!?!?!?!?!??!?!
Anonymous, 30 Dec 2009180 is a great price for this handset to write that off just because of a mandatory data plan ... moreYou couldn't be serious. Yeah the math is nice and all but have you heard of unlimited minutes? Having to switch off of that for 500 minutes without nights and weekends and no mobile to mobile. Google just shot themselves in the foot with that mandatory plan garbage. There is no way I'm going to switch my unlimited minutes and text for 500 minutes and text and web for more money than I'm paying now.
Has the GOOGLE nexus one actually got multi touch? according to this, http://www.gadgetvenue.com/goo...ew-12230709/ , scroll abot down for video and play at 2.30, there is no multitouch capabilities.

I used to be a Verizon customer, and I can tell you that Verizon has the best coverage without any contest.
Yet, T-mobile has the best deal with the use of a SIM card for old customers.
And as far as I can remember (in my area), 3G started in 2008, a little over 1 year. Unless you live in the suburbs, I cannot see how in hell would I get 2 bars 3G right in the middle of Chicago.
Hi, I wonder, can I buy this by web from other country?
Ex, HongKong, Philippine,,,
new motorola phone are way way beter than this phone
especially moto xt800 with beter design and features
UI is outdate like Symbian S60 LoL!!
TMobile is getting their hands on a lot of nicer phones lately but whats the use if their 3G coverage sucks? I could stand on the roof of my two story house and barely get two bars and i can see the freakin tower less that a mile away!!!! They need to do some major network expansion. Sprint and Verizon are about to launch 4G and TMobile has barely had national 3G coverage for a year or so.
Well the design is just simple, but i have a big expectation for this one. google is making big mark for next and i hope windows mobile 7 would do great. but if windows mobile 7 disappoint me android is the way to go.
look too simple..nothing special..
I have HD2 now, n900 all trough it is in tablet area can't come even close to HD2. I had iPhone 3g, it is just plain toy for games and apps without all the business needed options that HTC WM devices have, 3gs is nothing better. The only competitor to HD2 is Nexus One, it beats it in screen type and slightly bigger ram, but that's all, WM is old pro, people claim it is buggy and sluggish, of course it is if u don't know how to use it and if its run on lower devices, Android is great, but it is too young and unexpanded to beat up WM. WM is most complex OS to date, and new WM 7 is just amazing, I'm glad that my HD2 can run it. As for games, iPhone beats in numbers, but comparing to n900 and HD2 it is cheap toy, n900 runs duke nukem 3d, that's fine, but HD2 runs tekken 3, that's even better. All pro people from mid to high level should have HD2 or Nexus One, for rest of you children there you have 3gs, n900 and Hero. So stop crapin your filth over HD2, try before you judge.
