Google got the Project Ara for some reasons, one of the reasons is to let customers have the right to know which part of their smartphone is faulty and removable. So Samsung, pls retain the removable battery pls. Android is about customization, not the Apple way.
They clearly said that the battery charged faster AND was bigger.. that was a lie.. the battery is smaller than its predecessor! Doesn't matter if the processor is more efficient or the screen or if TouchWiz is being improved. The battery is smaller and and cant be removed. I would prefer a 4,100mAh battery removable any day before a quick wireless charge dock.
Note 6 under development, only this one doesn't have a battery at all!
Come on Samsung - you're not fooling anyone with your cost-cuts.

conspiritor, 13 Aug 2015Yeah i know where your coming from.but i meant if your out clubbing with ya mrs or m8s and you... moreUni-bodied phones have more limitations/disadvantages because some people want to show off their a FRACTION of a millimeter thinner phone. Let's see all the bending test with the Note 5. So far, the Note 3 came out as the sturdier than a Note 4. Bendy phone means prone to bending the battery inside - kaboom!
The main fact is, batteries have a 300 charge cycle life. Even if the common folk will think of carrying power banks, it doesn't make a difference. The only way to reduce this is light usage - turn off all notifications, turn off data, funny install so many apps, don't play games, don't download... who wants to do that?!
So ladies and gentlemen, welcome to this so called "upgrade" with the Note 5.
TheNeighbor, 13 Aug 2015Seriously, I charge my spent battery in the bag (if I need to) with the power bank. I have my ... moreYeah i know where your coming from.but i meant if your out clubbing with ya mrs or m8s and your battery is dead then id sooner pull a spare battery out my wallet, what you have is great for when your in your in car,but i wouldnt like to answer my phone walking in public with that dangling on the end.but they have there uses.
conspiritor, 13 Aug 2015Lol,thats like strapping a car battery to your phone.not gona disrespect my note 3 with that s... moreIt's so simple - put in the used battery into the battery charger cradle and connect ot a power source. If anyone's really want a good full charge HOLD, you can replace 300-cycle old batteries with spares.
Yes, I do carry at least a spare battery and not need to bring a bag.
Anonymous, 13 Aug 2015Looks like a horse now the phone. Lol.Seriously, I charge my spent battery in the bag (if I need to) with the power bank. I have my Galaxy Note 3 totally wireless when in use!
TheNeighbor, 13 Aug 2015Exactly. Get use to it, future Note 5 users. Here's a 16,000mAh power bank strapped on to a Ga... moreLol,thats like strapping a car battery to your phone.not gona disrespect my note 3 with that strapped to it.il just keep my spare battery in my wallet if and when I need it.which is not very often.carnt beet removable batterys as you know m8ty.ive just realized 2yrs down the line whos going to buy a note 5 if you wish to sell it towards your next phone whos battery has been THROTTELED over 18 or 24months.shouldnt think there be much life left in it,which would render any built in battery phone USELESS !
JY, 13 Aug 2015but they have been forced too as no one bought the s5 and note 4's I do understand that it's tough...but they are making impulse short term decision. Right now, iphones are dominating and the only reason is branding/marketing...the fact that the s4 was a relatively buggy phone with battery issues made people migrate to iphones last year instead of giving the s5/note 4 a chance, which are vastly superior to the i6...but i think samsung should continue improving in the departments they got criticized for, mainly battery life...they seem to not care about that at all and simply focus on build quality.
I am not saying build quality is not important, but on the long run people will eventually go back to android once they get bored of the same cheap trite that apple releases every year, iphones with poor battery performace, poor camera, etc...but they will not go to samsung if samsung turns into having the same apple mentality...
JY, 13 Aug 2015but they have been forced too as no one bought the s5 and note 4's no both S5 and Note 4 have sold very well but Samsung over produced the S5. There is no problem with note 4 sales, price has not come down in the last 8 months BUT now will fall with this Note 5 coming
Confirmed 3000mAh batteries for both Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+. Comes with black and gold for Note 5. 32 / 64 storage. Hybrid sim slot for Philippines.
Anonymous, 13 Aug 2015thats will made any phone looks ugly... lolExactly. Get use to it, future Note 5 users. Here's a 16,000mAh power bank strapped on to a Galaxy Note:
Strap that power bank to your phone - you'll need to. So much for being thin and sleek.
Samsung, get your act together and make a removable battery for these new "flagship"phones !
