lacp, 13 Aug 2015We will see that. At times of today, put a 1GB of ram in smartphone is the dumbest idea and op... moreU do realize Child that with that kind of specs that most Android flagships got these days u could easy run Full Windows 10 Pro?????????? Now.... lets compare Android to Full Windows 10 Pro........ hmmmm...... It's actually like comparing Ford Ka to Bugatti Veyron or something like that...... Android is extremely simple OS if u compare it to Windows 10 yet it needs nearly same sort of resources to run apps like Facebook etc...... Nowww lets go bak to iOS... the actual code is much much better than the one on Android! It actually using resources in much much more advance way than Android..... Android is only better than iOS at one thing lately.... U can customise ur icons etc out of the box! But realistically grown ups don't care about that much and prefer to have a properly designed OS (it's code) and having eventual updates on time, not have to wait 6 o 12 months!!! When u grow up u will understand!

Hello GSMArena,

I would like to inform you that this image is fake, it's a SEO website that just makes this stuff up to gain backlinks.

I highly doubt it (on anything except the proposed 6c perhaps).

Remember IOS 9 introduces some pretty complex (by IOS standards) multi-tasking features. There is a reason more of these new features appear on the IOS 9 running iPad Air 2, than on any other device running the same version and that is that it's the only one to feature 2gb ram.

it's has little to do with the day to day running of the IOS operating system (that can run itself quite fine on just 1gb ram) but more to do with supporting these advanced multi-tasking features.

Well probably see 2gb ram become the new standard spec for IOS devices from this point forward I'd imagine (just as 1gb became the standard with the introduction of the iPhone 5 / iPad 3)

And to all you lemmings posting your "IOS doesn't need to 2gb, It runs just fine on 1gb, Android needs 8gb and still lags" claptrap..........jog on and get a clue!

JD, 13 Aug 2015Even with that kind of specs, experience will be much smoother than for example on 8GB of Ram ... moreWe will see that. At times of today, put a 1GB of ram in smartphone is the dumbest idea and option that one companie like Apple can do. Remember that 1GB already comes of 2011 and we are in 2015. But thinking in the simplicity of a OS like iOS that hasn't envolved practicaly nothing for about 5 years, it seems a system for children.

Dosent change the fact that with 4GB LPDDR4 ram you can multitask 4 times better on android devices(m9,G4,oneplus2...etc).Android may not run well on 1GB at all , but it sure as hell runs 4 times better than ios on 4GB ram.

I dont care about specs, I care about real life performance. 1gb ram is enough for me on the iphone. The 2 gb ram on the Air 2 is a relief though.
