Based on what I have read and the videos I've seen about the Nexus, it seems like a really cool device. Although I really don't see anything about it that sets it apart from some of the other cool devices that have already been released in the last several months, like the Droid, HTC HD2 or the N900. It can obviously compete with them, but I don't see anything about it that makes it superior. The reviews boldly states that it's still not as responsive and as intuitive as the iphone 3gs, and to think that the iphone 3gs is already an old device in the tech world. But for sure, the Nexus will be a successful device, and it definitely pushes Apple to produce an even better iphone in the future. As an iphone user, I did consider the Nexus. The major deal breakers for me are, it does not support At&t's 3g frequencies, and, I don't want to lose all the helpful apps that I already have on my iphone.

Noman, 06 Jan 2010The new API for Android 2.1 for games? About time! Now lets have some proper 3D games like on ... moreTHANK YOU! Google phones are fast and good for the internet, but what about the GAMES! most Google games are puzzle or stratergy games, but where's the 3D Action, Platform, Racing, RPG etc, heck even Nokia had 3D games on there's N-series phones, If the Nexus does have 3D games then yes It will sway me. But for now Google phone just seem to be good for the internet..

iphone is so 2000, it can't even do multi tasking. the nexus one is far ahead in terms of hardware and software.

Why do sites such as this keep calling the Nexus an uberphone? I fail to see where it stands out from the others, in features, design or otherwise.

It also has a screen not usable in bright daylight - is this what makes it extraordinary?

I certainly prefer the Droid. X10 is even sexier, if not for the lack of a real keyboard, and a bit weaker specs. Now, N900 is extraordinary, it's just that the bulk makes it a no-go for me.

It is not fair to compare iPhone and Nexus 1.
Nexus 1 is the latest cell phone, and iPhone is a almost 1.5 years old product, everything in Nexus 1 is copy from iPhone and make it better.
We should wait for Iphone 4G and then compare with Nexus 1.
