I know the difference is unnoticeable except in benchmarks, but they should've at least went with an overclocked version of the 7420 or the 7422 (if that even exists), like they did with the Exynos 4412 1.6GHz on the Note II compared to the SIII.

I'll play the Devils advocate here ... but I kind of hope that Samsung's intention is to standardise the internals to make developing and providing updates much easier. Less compatibility issues and less tweaking required. A long shot but here's hoping...

AnonD-295037, 16 Aug 2015How many times have you used a spare battery and why did the need arise?I use a spare battery about once a month on average. My typical situations using spare batteries include:

            - Long haul flights or train trips (I travel a lot with work and not all carriers have charging ports)
            - Long car trips (Again, i travel a lot, Australia is a big country and using a phone plugged into the cigarette lighter isn't fun)
            - Camping trips (no power points out there and power packs are too slow and inconvenient)
            - We had a storm power outage last year for 36 hours (The spare battery meant i still had internet and phone after the first 12 hours)
            - Mountain biking or hiking (with GPS and screen on a battery gets hammered pretty quick)

Also, battery life tends to degrade after 6 months of heavy use, being able to replace a battery for about $20-$30 is great.

If you talk about real life, than why there is two lineup? (S series & Note series). If you want to make it stand alone, superior than everything (which it was always, until now) you have give it those number it deserves.

Because those 64GB and 128GB devices will be ridiculously expensive in Europe. Especially since lollipop finally has improved use of sd-cards. And as for the battery. What will YOU do after 1.5 or 2 years of use? Are you willing to part your expensive device for 3 weeks for a stupid battery exchange? Not to mention how will you get your phone back considering the very bad reputation of those repaircenters like dynafix. Especially with these glued covers of today's phones. Sorry, but it doesn't give me much confidence in today's products.

But why not 64GB standard with 128GB option! Why not battery capaciy more than 3500mAh. I'm not even satisfied with 3000mAh battery in LG G2!

I think this is the first Note which is not crossing S series performance!! What is going on with Samsung! Note series used to be THE ultimate phone or THE superphone with top specs & functionality! This Note is just an enlarged S6 with S pen! Thats it! Sooo stupid!

Performance and benchmarks of the GN5 were always going to be awesome.... but the Note 4 is still super smooth AND has micro SD, removable battery so i will be sticking with it... :-)
