I'll better go for phone having cynaogen based ROMs with regular updates. Owned a redmi 2 before whcih is an ok-ish phone but UI lags compared to cyanogen and won't get updated to 5.1 (MIUI 7 still run kitkat). Plus we are seeing great alternatives in this price segment.

Xiaomi is focusing to wards mid range users which is obviously 4.x to 5.x times more users than High end flagship devices.
Redmi Note 2 gives you much more than the average device.. a quality built device, a Full HD Screen, 2GB RAM latest Processor 13MP camera... Long Live XIAOMI.

Is helio X10 nd mediatek mt6795 being the same?? All the report says that redmi note 2 is powered by helio X10 but in the specification page, its written as mt6795..I m confused..can anyone help??

looking at the comments it feels good to see that people have become more practical and are not hating xiaomi and calling it cheap just because its Chinese rather they are happy of how practical and bang for the buck these devices are really appreciate companies like xiaomi who care for the people rather than talking a 90% profit on a product like most companies do.

all those gorilla and dragon glasses are only marketing...nothing else..after all they are glasses glass is easy to break,scratch,shatter ..no matter the number if it is gorilla 2-3-4 it is all the same....the fact is that cheap old devices like nokia asha can be smashed,dropped from really high places and these dosnt break as easy as this marketing. id like to have that kind of protection..they scratch easy right but doesnt break that easy....will be a matter of putting a plastic screen guard and thats it.
