Like other says, this is for Xbox Live and Windows Store games, not the Win32 games. I doubt Microsoft will do anything though. They want to put everything in EULA just in case.

AnonD-35318, 18 Aug 2015Steam deals are the best so why to worry about. Pirated games always has some sort of issue... moreMy experience is totally opposite of you. Some steam games that I buy are messes with damn drm. If sometimes my internet is down, I can't play the damn game that I own. So I pirate those game that annoy the hell out of you.

Yes, no sense in buying them as 980 Ti's are easily overclockable to match and beat them. Let's hope Pascal makes a worthy update in the next year!

GTX TITAN X is not slower than GTX 980 Ti, it's faster. However, the difference is very small ranging between 3--6% in most games. So spending $350 more for unnoticeable performance makes no sense.
Another thing is, Nvidia partners can't make custom TITAN X boards. With the 980 Ti they can, which means the 980 Ti can be overclocked a lot much more than the TITAN X. Only after overclocking both cards to the max the 980 Ti becomes faster than the TITAN X.

Jeff2525S, 18 Aug 2015Thank God for me to not update my laptop from Windows 8.1 to Windows 10I'll repeat....

The story about Microsoft disabling pirated programs is false; "the agreement in question only pertains to services provided to you directly from Microsoft, and does not apply to Windows 10. This means that while the company can block your access to services such as Bing or Xbox Live, it cannot remotely disable a copy of a third-party software installed on."

All new laptops and computers will be pre-install with Windows 10. There is no escaping this upgrade. This ability to prevent counterfeit game is useful to prevent malware and virus from getting into the computer. Much safer. They should legally able to prevent hacking and modifying of the windows too. I want my computer to be safe and out of bloatware. I will use it on big screen tv with Touchjet Wave for more immersive experience.

Prasad, you really need to do a bit more research or provide more detail to the blog than an alarmist headline.

Anonymous, 17 Aug 2015If they did fail then windows wouldnt have been the best and widely used desktop OS world wide. They might have been better at it in the past. But let's face it: Microsoft's monopoly times are over. Windows 7 was the last well-received OS from Redmond. That doesn't mean windows will be replaced by some other OS (it's more likely to be replaced by a mix of several, anyway), but they certainly can't just rest and live off the fact their OS is the most widespread anymore.

Win 8.x was a design failure and they lost a lot of money on that. I'm also already hearing people not knowledgeable about PCs say they won't upgrade because of the privacy issues. That's just bad PR, and will cost them money yet again. Meanwhile Google is leeching private data just the same and is not showing any signs of weakness - unlike Microsoft.
