HTC wants to become like exotics car manufacturer. overprice.. even with mediatek cpu. they are still overpriced.. better they sell all their factory. & concentrate on one factory only, like factory which build Lamborghini & ferrari so they can continue selling exotics device, "if you (HTC) consider plastic device are high end". sigh...

I think the issue is that Android smartphones have way too much tech on them so costs are higher, having an SD 820 wont be cheap, I think what companies need to do is settle down already with the spec rush, 4 cores, maybe 6 are more than enough for phones, 1080p screens are more than enough, and decrease prices.

Anonymous, 20 Aug 2015Eeehhh??!They released HTC M9 and then a few months later HTC M9+ but only launched in China and maybe a few surrounding countries. Has not come to Europe or North America. The M9+ has all the features the M9 should have gotten.

Companies will go for cost cutting to stay afloat. That means less money spend R&D. Short-run users benifit from price war. Long term big innovative comapnies dissppear and cheap copy cats remain. But then there wont be no more improvements or new innovations. I guess only Apple can stand out rest of the big mobile companies will suffer.

I pray to god they go banckrupt. I have the M7. garbage and overheats. purple tint camera. 4mp is not better in low light than other phones. its simply sucks ass. battery drains 1% per minute of use. everything is tweaked on the phone for minimum use. and battery drain is horrible. takes forever to charge.

had the desire HD and the tytnII (was sold without gpu driver-class act almost followed) before. what garbage phones. tons of models, same regurgitated crap every time. like nokia. year after year and small incremental fixes.

I hope they fall. same with blackberry and ms phones. we have enough crap in the market.

                                  Prices are to high.
M9 price is also extra and Desire after Desire but one Desire = $ 400-500 and others offers high end phone with this price.
