They lead the industry in foldable POLED tech etc.

Yeah....Instead LG just chose to botch what could have been a marvelous upgrade.

For the third phone in a row it is larger in general and second in a row consistently gained thickness yet still has the same size battery.
They stuck with DD3 ram and GG3 glass.
They still have lower quality sound output through headphones compared to the past year or two of some other phones.
They finally upgrade the display properly to look great and have better power consumption and even lie about it brightness.....When in reality it's brightness is about the same still. It could have easily been brighter. Especially with the room they had to put in a 3400-3600mah battery.
Plus they made the screen have a dramatically high white point even higher than the S6 and Note 5 in their most saturated mode. And they didn't even include a way to change the colors or white point when the G flex 2 that came out just before it had such options in display settings.
Among their other lies they tried to claim they personally helped optimize the S808 and that it works better than the Exynos 7420 in daily tasks.....lololol.

The camera is great indeed. And despite some initial firmware that made it seem as if the camera had terrible dynamic range and exposure has finally come up to be on par with the S6.
Though definitely not in video recording for the most. Software dramatically holds it back.

And at least from the couple little bits I have know of the speaker it seems slightly....muffled like the flex 2.

Overall it is a great phone.....But they went out of their way to downgrade, or hold it back.

no, its really the case us EU'ers wont fall for a sd-less, non removable note 4 1/2 and the sales would be poor as a consequence .. so samsung are selling it around the world to get some numbers in before retailing it in the EU.

AnonD-77443, 19 Aug 2015The latest LG screens are great but pretty much all reviews and tests still put Samsung on top... moreWell, no one can do magic with the SD808/810 which is the sole problem of bad battery time in G4. The screen of G4 drain about as much as the one in G2 which is very good considering we are talking 5.5" QHD vs 5.2" FHD.

Had the SD808 not been such a battery hog, the G4 would have put up a very good fight this year. Such a shame really. Looking forward to the SD820 fixing the problem and hoping 2016 will be an amazing year.

i dont understand why samsung chose not to release the note 5 in europe, including the UK, I was hoping to buy the 64gb version on a contact.....they are not to difficult to buy from uk stockists but still would have preferred a carrier choice....not sure if i will get the gold or silver yet, both look uber slick

That's weird, since I'm in Egypt and the both the Note 5 and S6 EDGE+ have been released a couple of days ago over here, and I'm pretty sure the MENA market is linked to the European market.

I don't know why Samsung is doing that but my guess because it is using the same Exynos chip on the SGS6 - SGS6 edge - SGS6 Edge+ - SGN5 . And I think they are run out of production.

I was going to give my wife my note 4 and buy a note 5... The GN5 was such a disappointment I kept the note 4 and got her a G4... It is great. I will be looking at LG if the GN6 isn't an improvement.
