This is one of the reason Samsung can not expect premium pricing.

What are the features from newer versions of Android that you absolutely must have?
I'm a little dissapointed that my K Zoom isnt getting updated, with RAW support. Lollipop had that built in. But Samsung didnt update the S5 or S6 to support RAW, as far as I know. If Samsung updated it with RAW, but kept it on kitkat, I wouldnt care about the OS version.
I also have a sony Z3 with lollipop.
Chrome Tabs show up in the task switcher, and that is nice. But you lost the tab handling within chrome, and that is a bit annoying. (same for Samsung Galaxy S5, I've tried it with lollipop).
Batterylife and perfomance boosts that were promised have been very small acording to various tests, so you didnt loose much there, if anything at all.
With Marshmallow, you will get the app permission settings, and that does make a bit of a difference. Google should have implemented that a long time ago, since there is so much malware in the play store.
But I think Google should also implement that in the play-store, so you can choose when you install the app. Sure, it would require Marsmallow to change the settings after installing. But that is a setting you only do once.
The promised batterylife improvements rely on the phone beeing unused for longer periods of time, and will inactivate certain features. If you use whatsapp and similar apps where you rely on constant connection, to be able to recieve calls or messages, you dont want that feature anyhow.

It's a very sad news I would rather say this is cheating and promise put down by samsung hate samsung for that I will change to some other mobile phone

Think yourselves lucky. I've got lollipop on a s5 and nexus 7 and its awful. Runs at a snails pace and looks terrible. Stick to 4.4.4 if you can

Try nexus device android one or motorola device for timely update :) and windows phone is nothing infront of android. And coming to apple they have very less model that's why they will provide latest update

Android's eco system is very bad and FU**ING. Every year new Android version and OEMs? They are not providing updates to their devices even high-end phone are not getting update after 2/3 years!
Windows and apple are really awesome! Especially MY LOVE MICROSOFT WINDOWS! Ya whatever you say I'm their FANBOY. But this is true updation in windows is fab fantastic.. Remember that Lumia 520 which is 2 year old low end device which will get windows 10 after 6 months!
Wow after windows 10 I will get fully play store installed in my LUMIA. Awesome
Lag droid will get only lag after 2/3 year! Are lagdroids using their phone after 1 year? Or buying new lag droid?

AnonD-205718, 21 Aug 2015Even if you get S line or even note line, still you are waiting for major updates more than yo... morethat is correct i think that s5 should get android 6.0 becfause is still top hardware if it doesnt then there is no point purchasing high end devices from samsung either....being the s line its top line,iphone devices are well known for catch a lot of updates ... iphone 4s is a really good example of that ... i think it has been the most updated device in apple and os support history... i cant remenber another company providing something similar.
