And LG and Samsung are the same. My next phone will be from apple. At least the updates will arrive on time and the device will be supported longer.

People should stop buying Samsung phones. Samsung never provide updates to their phones. Samsung's downfall started in 2014. In next two years Samsung would disappear from market. Cheater Samsung

If you don't live there, don't expect an update too soon. The UK market is getting worst for Samsung anyway. Samsung is moving away from UK. They don't even launch Note5 there. S6 edge+ probably the last of Samsung they see till IFA this September.

Unless it's a nexus... and in some part motorola... your android device is only supported for 1 year and then it's abandoned.
Imagine android marshmallow is being released and people are still on kitkat and ice cream sandwich

I have a Samsung Galaxy Note 2. Till April, it was rumored the Note 2 will receive Lollipop but now they say that it will be getting the update. Why Samsung Why!!!
Why launch such nice phones and then decide not to provide the updates!

all the samsung phones of lower mid range to upper mid range which are running on kitkat now will now get 6.0 or nothing,only devices whose updates are in testing phase will get 5.0/5.1, all other 5.0 updates which were in early devolpment phases for various phone will not get anything right now and only after a month or two you can expect to hear any update about whether your device will get 6.0 or going to die in the books of samsung with 4.4.

No one knows the reason..
This is the reason:- Samsung hates lollipop! Because they have special treatment for marshmallow!
They are thinking:-why we waste customers time and data to update their phone? We will give then advance thouchwiz with M which will never hang! And better security to mid ranger like E and J series!.
