Otto, 25 Aug 2015Apple tried it here in South Africa. but no one went there to exchange their Galaxy S6 for iphone 6obviously there won't be many switchers from G6 to iPhone 6 , considering the number of people with G6 will be close to zilch ;-)

Lol! Samsung is going down bad. the price cuts, the market strategy, the pain of being far behind apple is hard for them to swallow. Honestly speaking, i have used the S6 and im using the LG G4. The G4 is a beeeaasttt!! S6 cannot even come close.

the king in mobile market now. came before i phone with their smartphones ,and here i want to say that as being a big company and competing with all other mobile phone industry samsung has to improve and give their gud products to the customer. so in case of flagship model samsung came up with lots of changes by redesigning them in their quality and beauty.to improve the phone performance they removed mmc slot, for strength and durability metal body with gorilla glass. a gud camera ,it dosent mean that samsung is copying iphone.they are tryin to come up with their on desin.and after all its all for the customer benefits.if the price gose down its gud for thee customer.insted of asking offers and disscounts they can buy it for less price.it dosentt afect the product quality.......if the price says that the product is luxuary .then better i will sell a tea bag wit $100 how many of u will buy it......so before underestimating plz try to understand both the side.....both the compnys are gud and they r trying to give the best always....

Not with speculations , but with numbers.Q2 results and the massive price cut !!!
Samsung themselves agreed that S6 us a flop and spin it bcoz of S6 edge..
Now we know S6 edge is also a flop considering their massive price cut.
If things are selling well, price wont drop like stone.
And as a sidenote, its tough to believe samsung manufacturing giant cannot increase S6 edge screen supply , considering how they got out iron.man series and edge + in no time.

I don't understand some people are so obsessed with the sales figures. It doesn't matter which phones sells more. What matter is how the phone gives you the benefit that you need. I prefer galaxy over iPhone because it has the best camera, gorgeous display, fast charging and Android OS. Some of you are really the slave of technology. Bragging over things you can't possibly control. Childish.

actual numbers we will never know, but the fact that, their stock has dropped for a 5th straight quarter, with their s6 launching in that quarter is evidence that their device is not selling as well as they hope, or as well as they are saying it.

The iboys forget that Samsung have not only S line. But also Note line, A line ....all of them much better and better design than the fugly iPhone with huge bezels and plastic inserts.
Besides Samsung expectations were wrong only about making not enough S6 Edge. But they corrected it.

dil, 22 Aug 2015I did try a test units in best buy the day they released Note 5 to experience centers. I feel ... moreI had the nexus 5 and now use the note 3. the nexus 5 is a joke. not user friendly at all:
-the phone app would crash and i would get a call and there was basically no button to take the call
-the text messaging suck, no predefined textx, no text scheduling
-there were other things i cant remember now.

Chinese OEMs are doing well , though android lost a little market to iOS , these Chinese android OEMs increased their by a big margin..
