"Recent reports have suggested that they'll be dubbed Lumia 940 and 940XL instead."

This is the only 'outlet' STILL calling it 940, but that's what happens when all stories are provided by Samsung.

      Duh.

All infos from NPU are false or just a refresh of news already published on the others sites.

So as we know now, indian community around windows mobile is really strong (thanks Microsoft CEO), NPU is trying to push as mush as possible news on Windows Mobile, but the most part of time it's incorrect or fake info....

If the specs are good maybe I'll consider it, Microsoft is usually a year behind Android in that department.

No Matter, 24 Aug 2015It must be October 19 in 2017.October 2016 as W10 is set for 2016 year end.

I stuck with Windows Phone due to massive incremental increases each software release has brought.

There are a few things which makes me fret, NOT THE ENTIRE LIST.

Windows has features not seen on other platforms MAPS, offline and security; Stagefright the latest and biggest threat to Android, it and any virus cannot infect Windows.
Windows Phone have no anti virus as no viruses can infect the Platform

Windows flagship phones "follow" Apple No memory expansion and No camera resolution setting, if the 940 takes 16Mp pictures, all your pictures will be 16Mp

              Re Project Astoria,
Some Android Apps simply won't work ona Windows platform as they need to run in the background which is not given, eg Fake call, once your phone phonelocks everything stops.

There are apps in Windows store that don't deserve the word app and simply dont work and never will, all I see Project Astoria doing is adding more.
Some Apps that WORK on Android won't on Windows and from current practices you don't gave to actually create the app all you do is present the customised shortcut

So whilst most Android Apps can work on Windows some cannot will NOT but still be in the store

WINDOWS PHONE with both memory expansion and removable batteries are only offered with midrange specs, so if you want these Windows make it difficult to stay or upgrade when Android offers more

Atm 10Mp camera is the best offering memory expansion removable battery Windows Phone

I don't know why media focused on this picture solely!?!

This picture is simply a Lumia 640 XL in a 1520 shape cover and runs on Technical Preview of Windows10Mobile (WXM).

Even anyone who own the handset will notice the style of power charger which attached to the handset.

Isn't there any other photo to count on?
