Kajam, 24 Aug 2015OK if anyone who watched the video and think or complain about how slow is the galaxy I will s... moreAnd that's only if you are sitting there and switching between a bunch of apps like that constantly.
And exactly they still loaded pretty quick in the end. Just a small fraction behind the others.
And it's not something that is actually hindering most users.
Nor does it have anything to do with the actual multi tasking where the Note still is unbeaten champion.

It would be nice if it held more apps for longer times. But everyone makes it out as if it's the worst thing in the world. That it takes so long to load apps and makes the phone so slow. That it makes the whole phone terrible and negates all the benefits.
And that it makes every other phone miles better and makes it as if no other phone has any form of issue at all.
Just another day of fools and samsung haters.

And did you watch any drop test of the S6 Edge? It's a beast.

OK if anyone who watched the video and think or complain about how slow is the galaxy I will say you guys are full Of S. Because if you worry about a fraction of a second to load the app which will save a lot more on battery life then you are so dumb. I bought the note 5 and I am using it coming from a note 4 the note 5 give me 6hrsome of screen time one charge including calls with Bluetooth and wifi and data running all the time which its nowhere close to what I used to get from note 4.

Anonymous, 24 Aug 2015So if it's an iPhone with all these disadvantages it's a fashio-accesory, but if it's a Samsun... moreCompletely different story.
Iphone does it for control and lacks all the better hardware and software.

Samsung is far form the only Droid to have these things. One was for technical reasons and the other for being hounded by every single user comment and review for years about their design/materials.
And the rest are class leading things that leave iphone in the dust.

This is probably a measure to ensure that the phone doesn't get slow, by exhausting all available system memory.

Quite happy with my windows phone on this regards.
                Multi tasking is a breeze
Was forced into another os by the fact that I had to reset my phone with some frequency for the system to be stable and fast

Entry level Lumia 535 does what my old xperia p could never do OS wise. Apart from the lack of apps I have no complaints what so ever.

I wish more people would give wp a try. I'm sure Samsung would optimize their system if their android flagships started tanking

What was Samsungs' motive behind this? They're the ones promoting multitasking and yet their devices aren't behaving like a device with 4GB RAM. Hopefully they can change their ways.

an expensive overpriced device shouldn't behave like that.

"The exact reason for this is still unknown."

I'm pretty sure it's because some programmer wrote the code once for some device having just 1GB RAM and everybody else just used that as it was.
Of course, this would be a non-issue if we had a slider to configure the time interval before killing an app. But nooo, users today are too dumb to configure a device, so we don't get configuration options anymore.

Useless phone, I dont even want to imagine that some(or all) of my background tasks will stop. (maybe you should test battery life after that will update!)

Maybe a software update will fix this. It doesn't seem to happen on the note 4 though so hopefully future updates won't reverse the process.
