MarcoK., 25 Aug 2015actually i can give you a good answer because i have used exactly this phone, the htc one s f... morethat is correct galaxy s6 has that issue too bad for a 3 to 4 gb ram avaliable.. a 1gb ram device is able to keep that app running in back graound no problems...even worst any apple device with 512 mb of ram can keep app running in the backgrouind too....sammy wanted to to take adventage of the processor and ram but they are useless if apps has to be restarted..it will only make sense if u had to use almost all ram for an app but for now it is not going to happen..sorry but big fail guys... plus lagwissssss
Anonymous, 25 Aug 2015huh... every one now just say samsung exynos has bad real time performance.. evry review from ... morethats because they made a mistake insted of develop krait/ kryo cores continued with big little wich i have never liked.
Jose Porto, 25 Aug 2015If those Kryo cores are bigger and badder than the A72, Denver or Typhoon, why not? Lets Samsu... moresorry but the big little configuration sucks battery life, the swith from low power to high power.....brings to u lags and cuts battery life... we dont need more number of cores as long as customer cores provide good performance and no heating issues... quad core set up for me is the best configuration for now...my sd800 is not the best around any more but if gives to me on my g2 good battery better tahn many phones and excelent performance beating most of new phones upcpmers ..only ones capable to beat mine are just new exynos and sd 8xx .in performane not battery.
Anonymous, 25 Aug 2015Hahahahaha i can only imagine your 'lags' with 2015 flagships when i have 2012 htc one s with ... moreactually i can give you a good answer because i have used exactly this phone, the htc one s for about 10 days not long ago when my galaxy s6 was on rapair and what surprised me the most was, that when the drawer, the multi tasking menue, the settings app, whatever you want to open was opened, the one s performed as well as the galxy s6. i would even say i had LESS micro lags. of course, the app loading times were much longer but the different in daily use war by far less than you would expect. i thing the software was 4.2.2 or somethign like that. another interesting thing, the camera takes very good pictures for this age, didnt know, mobile cameras have been that good back than and i was wondering if the thc one m8 can beat that in every aspects. and than there is the thing with the app reloading... the one s has always low ram, but i handels it quite well, i never had a real slowdown, you cannot keep much apps in the background but you cannot to this with the galaxy s6 neighter... more information to this topic can be easily found in manymany youtube videos or recently here with the note 5 and the same multitasking problem... thats really anoying, often people without a galaxy phone dont beleave me when i'm telling them what i experience with this phone :D the last anoying thing was at the weekend, i had the navigation with google maps opened because we had a little road trip, 6 people in the car driving around in germany... i took the phone to answer a phone call ,the navigation moved to the backgrund... when i ended the call i realized that google maps navigation has closed... really? so back in the maps application and i had so start the navigation vom zero, exactly the thing you want to do on the autobahn ;)
but this is not the topic in here, the topic is, that samsung is good in benchmarks but not always in the real world performance and that i have better subjective experiences with qualcomm chips and i think qualcomm could for sure get back the crown next year.
the exynos chip itself is nothing special, its a standart cortex licenced chip with the standart arm mali gpu interface, the only reason why it is good is the very good 14nm manufactoring process. when you keep in mind that from 14nm to 20nm, the chip consumes about 60% the energy with the same horsepower or lets say with the same power consumption, you would get 1,7 times the results and keep that in mind, the adreno gpu has about the same power than the mali gpu, the adreno gpu is much much more efficient in its architecture. give qualcomm the possibility to produce chips in 14nm, at least gpu wise they will for sure be better, thats what you can tell from our todays facts.
when it comes to the cpu, there is the question if qualcomm can do something similar and continues their very good custom cores on a 64 bit basis that they ended in the snapdragon 805...
gfx shows whats exynos t760mp8 is ahead of adreno 430, so cpu and gpu is better than qualcomm, we will see if 820 can compete with exynos, but now for sure samsung has best chipset in the world
Hahahahaha i can only imagine your 'lags' with 2015 flagships when i have 2012 htc one s with 2 1.5 GHz krait cores and have max! 2 sec lag when opening a large website. You're arguing because of 0.1 sec 'lags' you experience when using your phones.. so spoiled with no reason
i see no reason for Samsung now going back to use Qualcomm chips again,
why would they? only if manufacturing costs are higher for samsung i see no other reason, even after they proved they can make better Socs in s5 note4 s6 and edge variants.
Anonymous, 25 Aug 2015Snapdragon fanboy, let me tell you one thing. Samsung is the one who manufacture those qualcom... moreHelp me tell them,Samsung is best chipmaker qualcomm must either use TSMC 16nm process or meet Samsung for their 14NM manufacturing process cause Sammy is the only one who can commercially produce chipsets on 14NM process. Exynos 7422 and further versions will crush Snapdragon
S6 edge is better than other cell phones in market right now...and i don't think any other cell is better than it...iphone 6 is good too...i think first time in history Samsung made a good phone :-D
Whatever...i love my s6 edge.. :-P
It's all about business. Everything else it's history..
Stunn3r, 25 Aug 2015did you know that Qualcomm will be using samsung's processor in this chip? don't buy it too then ..what a novice argument .. lol
SnapDragon is a SoC/Processor and how come it will use another processor ? lol
Only thing is , samsung manufactures the snapdragon for Qualcomm
Stunn3r, 25 Aug 2015did you know that Qualcomm will be using samsung's processor in this chip? don't buy it too then ..haha I doubt he knows that
With the amount of people shifting away from Samsung and their sales going down and down and down.... I'm in shock that people still buying their phones....
MarcoK,I think samsung's exynos chipset sometimes misbehaves, other time they are responsive or time not.In all to the SD 808 is not to be underestimated.
Anonymous, 25 Aug 2015Snapdragon + Touchwiz = Lag Exynos + Touchwiz = Lag tooExynos + nova launcher =smooth as hell
Anonymous, 25 Aug 2015huh... every one now just say samsung exynos has bad real time performance.. evry review from ... moreWhat do i mean? I mean that the LG g4 runs smoother on a weaker chip than the s6 does, i mean that the Galaxy s4, the s5, the note 3 and thd note 4 all were running better, not necessarily faster but smoother in side to side comparisons (YouTube is full with it) when equipped with Qualcomm chips instead of the exynos option.
I have the s6 myself so I would not say I hate samsung but there are some things with the s6 that are not that good and to be honest, if i would have known this issues before, I wouldn't have the s6 right now
"Will it burn???"
" Burn baby burn...."
