I'm actually scared to see soo many exynos zombies who want the best spec now and not for those spec to evolve through some better code. Hope qualccom (probably butchered the name again) will have a huge succses with kryo and the s820 (as in no overheating and at least on par performance wise). I wanna upgrade from camp [similarly closed as crapple].
I think as far as the extensive word has been use and acknowledged I can say samsung knows what they are doing,to spice things up rumor has it the 820 is coming out on 14nm too, imagine those quad cores.

Last i checked the original galaxy s is strugling with lolipop. Gues who's to blame, samsung with exynos sources (or lack of em). Also android is like a pc, not a mac (samsung droids) and using snapdragon is only logical for a user who wants to save the planet (even if his driving style gets 7-9L/100km in the city)

If those Kryo cores are bigger and badder than the A72, Denver or Typhoon, why not? Lets Samsung bring the SD820. But I really doubt that any "run to finish" core will deliver better battery life than big.LITTLE in Exynos or other SoC.

The processing powers help everything that has to do with real time. You can question how Samsung executes their software on their devices, but you can't question the power of Exynos. Data is all there for everyone to see.
Exynos has now proven itself so why switch back to Snapdragon? Lower price? Faster performance? Lower heat generation?
I wait new chipset Exynos to release for Samsung Galaxy Note 5 Active, maybe that's have to be Exynos 7422 or 7430 with new Mali-T880, much faster and power consumation, how again killing iPhone and another phones ;)
AnonD-406796, 24 Aug 2015the lag is due to the software and has got nothing to do with the processor. and crapdragon st... morePartly software, but since the galaxy s4, the real usage performance of the snapdragon version was always better than the performance of the exynos version of the phone. Why? I can only guess but what I read on the xda forum is, that samsung often uses the weak cores fo tasks that would need something like a "middle" solution, the strong cores would eat the bettey but the weak are just not as fluid. Another thing is this switching between the cores that causes a little lag. Don't get me wrong, the performance of the galaxy s6 is by no means bad, but its not better than the performance of other highend devices or even much weaker devices. (And than there is this ram management thing but that's really a software thing and another story)
I thing I had really much Android devices in my life, starting with the Motorola milestone (droid 1 for the Americans) I had at least one top end device every year and Qualcomm was not always the best chip manufacturer but for me, the snapdragon s4 prime or how it was called in the middle 2 and the nexus 4 (that I owned as one of the first buyers) changed the game and since than the snapdragon chips had a little lead on the exynos chips.
Now with the snapdragon 810 this changed again but I feel like it only charged in that way that the snapdragon 805 still seems to be the best snapdragon chip and the Samsung chip is only the best because there is no real competition. Technically the 810 and the exynos CPU are about the same but Qualcomm wasn't able to use the 14nm process so it failed. When it comes to the gpu I don't care because I don't play games but looking at the gfxbench benchmarks the adreno should be still the best gpu out there

I don't like the idea of 2 SOCs...
There is always a difference in performance (GPU and CPU) and heating...
And IF SD 820 is better than an Exynos choice, they always put the second one here in Brazil...
I have a S6 now and I like it very much that it is the only Soc. Exynos 7420 doesn't heat very much and I don't really need to talk about performance.
Good to hear, my galaxy s6 is lagging even with the highest benchmarks, Qualcomm was always good in the daily use performance and a snapdragon 820 galaxy s7 will be a really good choice
