Considering that the Gear S2 has slightly lower resolution and smaller screen, the battery's longevity might be pretty much the same. I don't know if the Exynos 3472 is super power-efficient, well, we hope that's true, so it's gonna be slightly longer in terms of battery longevity in comparison to the Gear S.

well i'm not a Samsung fan and i don't even like Samsung but because Sony and HTC failed me in so many ways and because this year most of new smartphones are 5.5" and above ill be buying Galaxy S6 edge and maybe Gear S2 (((( IF )))) Moto 360 2 screen is not AMOLED and Gear S2 battery life can go through 2 days at least.

But I still won't buy it. I just don't get the device. I have a watch on my hand and it does what its supposed to - show time. Battery lasts a yeaer or two, so why bother with a "smart" device which should be recharged daily?

why do companies do this? this watch looks by far the best smartwatch on the market bar none, yet they choose to hinder it by adding a paltry 250mAH battery on it why cant the increase the size ever so slightly and put in something more like 450-500, even with this increased size it would still be a cracking looking watch, im hoping at the very least it will come with a 2 day lifespan or its buggered before it even comes to market, in my opinion of course, i am in the market for my first smartwatch so fingers crossed this ticks the boxes

Moto 360 still miles ahead in looks department, mainly due to material and build quality. This looks like a high street brand watch to be honest. It's as if the designers don't have a clue (which is probably very much the case anyway).

The watch DOES look so sleek and cool, but that battery life seems to be a downgrade over it's predecessors, which are the Gear 2 and Gear S. I have the Gear 2 (and it's my daily driver), and the battery stands so long--it once lasted for a week in a single charge! I usually manage to get it through 3-4 days in a charge. I'm pretty sure the Gear S2 will last 1.5-2.5 days with that downgraded-250mAh juice capacity. Anyways, I'm still gonna take it since the battery life is better than any smartwatch out there (like Apple Watch, Moto 360, etc). It's still considerable since it has abundant features including the rotating bezel.

With a battery that small I doubt it will have calling capabilities.
And the curved display of the Gear S looked nice as well.
So is there going to be a Geas S sucessor under another name?
