seen it all before, 10 Jan 2010this isn't the first time lg has released a ground-breaking new phone with class leading specs... moreI agree! What is wrong with LG? They make great electronics, like the 40" touchscreen LED workcentre we have at work, it's amazing, the touch movements and menus flows as smooth as water, and then they release all these non rensposive horrible laggy OS on phones, where is the balance?

It looked annoyingly unresponsive to me. Don't know if its an issue with the underlying OS or may be coz its an test hardware... whatever, it "lags" which is "annoying"

and i forgot to mention this , while i'm a iphone hater i think other brands are actually copying from iphone's touch screen , yeah i know iphone is not the invention of the touch screen phones but it was the best touch screen when it released and it is one of the best yet. but i think it's a little rude and really unfair to say every manufactures copying from ipone , cause it's technology , you can't improove everything in technology by your self , you invent something and someone else adds up and improve it. so let's just believe in the glorious of iphone's capacative touch screen and sit back and enjoy the race between the manufactures in the digital world of smart phones.

i'm a iphone hater. a big big iphone hater as a matter of fact , but i believe in one thing. apple moved the technology of the smartphones with iphone. infact if apple wouldn't produce iphone i don't think any manufactures would show this much technology on their devices. iphone is a very childish and limited phone. very good and usable , but childish. and i hate to do everything via itunes . and the UI is so boring. but with all the negativity it is a very good example for what a touch device should be like , and no touch screen phones ever reached the point to be compared with iphone's touch screen till about 3 or 4 months ago. but still i really hate iphone.

but about this lg smartphone :

this thing is huge! i'm sure i'm not gonna ever count on that as a cellphone cause it won't be easy to handle. i even think HTC Touch HD 2 is a very big phone and i won't go for it.and the OS is not a popular and proven os , i mean i would either go for a windows mobile or Android. beside this too i consider Blackberry os but sure it's all about blackberry not just the os. the device doesn't seems to be a fast device , sure it is somehow lagy and it's LG! i don't mean to be offensive but LG doesn't seems like a stand up company on cellphones area of any kind. at least i haven't ever been impressed by any LG smartphones. but i gotta tell ya this is great for watching movies on!

I was gonna throw my hat in too for SE P800! But its glad to see that at least some people aknowledge the fact that apple did NOT invent touchscreen phones as they would like it to appear!!

And the chinese were releasing touchscreen phones years before Steve Jobs learned to poke his own nose.

On the other hand, nobody copies no one, how many ways do u really think there is to make a touchphone? It's flat, square, and has to have a big screen covering the whole front, unless u plan to put screen on a football they will always look the same, that is a practical standard design.

Widget will be widgets, however u design them or place them u always need the shortcuts on the main screens, therefore there is no way goin around the all phone looking like eachother in the UI, and again this is a too the most practical easy use of a touchscreen phone.

So pull out the stick from your Mactard iApple ass and embrace the choices we have in choosing phones. I still think Iphone is a good phone, but Itunes software irritates the hell out of me, so my Iphone 3G is in the closet now, but it's still a good phone.
