Hope it's fake.
Microsoft is a minor king and in no way is that depressing
King of the bezel!
AnonD-90109, 27 Aug 2015Who is allot, if you are speaking for yourself, than that is one, not allot. A lot = people who have used a Windows phone that supports Glance Screen.
That's a lot.
That feature is so useful that once you've used it, you don't want to go back to a phone that doesn't have it.
If we count this as final design for the market, there are points to be considered;
1- A Qualcomm SoC works great on Windows Platform.
2- Those chipsets that refers outdated in Android Platform must not be compared to Windows Platform. In Windows Platform Architecture of chipset is the point to be considered. Lumia 1520, HTC One M8 for Windows & Lumia 930 are high end phones with S800's SoC inside. The OS is optimized for such Hardware as Denim update brought easily 2160p to the High end phones (SoC Matters).
3- Design is differ from Material to be used. There are positive points in Polycarbonate that in both Glass and Metal missed. Polycarbonate is more durable to visible sight than others.
It is superior to metal for those who need wireless charging; Is also superior to glass for those who want variety of colors. Battery Being user replaceable is another factor. Metal in this case is not on par with it, or even glass is next to impossible toward this.
4- Heat Master (SD810) and its prime minister (SD808) won't tolerate any one of Glass or Metal as Sumsung leave them alone and HTC used them to Toast Marshmallow, but point is What polycarbonate will do with them? Answer is LG G Flex 2 and G4. Regardless of
overall performance (which is based on optimization in Android) they are not affected by the heat as bad as One (M9). Different revision of SD810 didn't do much difference as it show the heat in One plus 2.
5- There are also weakness in material which are for those who no need to replace battery regularly as Power banks are doing what you need in most cases. Many people even don't know what wireless charging is, let alone use the chargers.
Overall impression is not based on material. Design is neither excellent nor terrible, it is acceptable as many people will buy more than two cover for their handsets. Apple is proud of its design and material to be used in their Handsets but, I myself rarely see any naked iPhone in hands. All Android phones are alike but the story of S6 Edge is different as buyers almost pay extra money to show off double edge display of their handsets.
Windows 10 Mobile (WXM) is what should be considered. I have both Lumia 920 and BB Q10 Which are old and both in polycarbonate, they both are naked as their Designs are excellent, their OS are secure (for my purposes), their features are functioning as I bought them for their features (not to show off) and both of them function as fluent as the day one I used them.
Fashion war sent the SONY near to the death of XPERIA branding, Killed the VAIO and stabbed its knife to the heart of Lenovo (Which is going to gradually replace the brand with its subsidiary "Motorola")
Market is not what many people think. Something Like politic can turn the page which was done once for Apple to occupy the market with inferior Quality and Operation by their buggy iOS (on that time) toward its rivals. Wave S8500 (BADA) with excellent functionality, response and Design was sacrificed for update hungry below average iPhone 4 (iOS).
Anyway, from technical point of view both manufacturer and customers must benefit from what they give and get.
From Fashion Slavery point of view, customers are slaves, have no right to choice and must follow us blindly (What Nokia did in past and Apple is doing now)
If pictures are not to be considered as final design and material, points are still the same.
After all, Never forget:
"King is always the King, Enthrone or Dethroned."
I prefer surface tablet design than this
Say Hello, infrared iris scanner, this is the plus putting others phones in the dust!!
moo, 27 Aug 2015Looks so cheapcheap yourself. i'd rather have polycarbonate then scratchable and shatterable glass.
Extremely large bezels. And after not having released a flagship in 2 years it would have been great if MS would have pushed the design envelope a bit more.
This phone could have also been available 3 years ago already by the looks of it.
what may be the expected price???
this is going to be my next device (still having my lumia 920)
Looks so cheap
I think its the same phone shown in latest mission impossible movie tom cruise uses it in other half of the movie

Hey Microsoft in this design you will go back word about 5 years so please improve your design.
you can get inspiration from Samsung or Sony or others
Rear camera design of smaller Lumia 950 definitely looks ugly
The blue one looks good. Also, good decision to use plastic or polycarbonate. I would never buy a metal/glass phone, because you drop those once and you can say bye-bye to the good looks.
This is a true flagship. Drop resistant, scratch resistant, no fingerprint magnet and easy to hold.
But this phone needs Glance Screen. That is one of the best features in smartphones. If this doesn't have Glance Screen, a lot of people will be disappointed.
Anonymous, 27 Aug 2015What an ugly piece of cr4p.How is it crap, because you don't like how it looks, people who use a phone buy it for it's function and features, ladies buy shoes for their looks, not because they are comfortable, are you some kind of fashionesta, oh look at my pretty looking fragile phone "that puts it in a thick case to protect it's beauty, lol" .
