I don't expect our Note 3's to go beyond Android 5.0 really.

I'm fairly certain that most Android users lack common sense. Why would you want an update simply to have the newest software that brings nothing more than esthetic changes? Software that would, in fact, worsen your user experience on your device? I personally hate that they pushed Lollipop on to my Note 4. It was clearly optimized for KitKat. It was fast, and the battery life was stellar. When they pushed Lollipop, it got the more than occasional lag and the battery life decreased by a third. A THIRD. I don't know... I'd rather have an awesome working device than a "pretty good" device with latest software.

Note5, 29 Aug 2015This is the biggest problem for Samsung with portfolio of many smart phones across categories ... moreLet's not forget Motorola, which is on par with Nexus when it comes to upgrades.

Installing now. Let's see how my n910f handles 5.1.1 .If this one fails to deliver good performance I'm going to root the phone and go for omega roms(these guys never let me down on note3 and S4).

Off-topic: Don't feed the apple troll. You're just wasting time with him.

This is the biggest problem for Samsung with portfolio of many smart phones across categories and geographies!!! Upgrade process across Android devices except may be for Nexus devices, is really worrisome! They can't let their customers having flagship devices with outdated software versions behind many months!

note 4 was their latest flagship ,and they ruined the whole experience with slow updates.Even with lolipop and 3gb of ram, it's buggy and slow.Shamsung let us down

My Note 3 only got Lollipop in the middle of July and even then it was the buggy 5.0 version. I hold no hope of a 5.1.1 update or a stagefright fix. Samsung you have failed me.
