Anonymous, 29 Aug 2015Coming Spring 2016: the Samesung Galaxy S7 with Force Touch and Taptic Engine!what you mean about samesung? huhahh!!
I bet note6 will get the same features.. Trust me
Oh come on, all these companies copy each other at the point that you don't know who "innovated" first. Thinking only Samsung copy Apple is being ignorant to thiat fact.
AnonD-84571, 30 Aug 2015For fashion slaves you are 100% right as they just choose their favorites by logo and shapes.
... moreQHD+ display - i would trade that for a 1080p display which gets great frame rates in games AND gets great battery life -
look at the HTC One M9 vs S6 in GFX 2.7 T-Rex S6: 35fps, M9 50fps on screen
pen - meh, useful\not useful - personal preference - had friends with the Note series who have never used the stylus and friends with iPhone's who use a stylus
wireless charging - useful
heat rate monitor - get a sports wristband - more accurate and constant
water\dust protection - always useful but managed so far - Galaxy S6 doesn't have it
better CPU\ more RAM - never a bad thing

Appleman, 29 Aug 2015yes your right on the nose. Samesung will copy Apple somehowHow is Apple enjoying those Samsung manufactured chips in its Iphone 6?
Anonymous, 30 Aug 2015So, What was in Apple smartphones that was not already available in market? I ask you back , ... moreJust like all phones upgrade a little every year. Snapdragon messed up last chip cause all the companies pressuring them to make new chip unlike Apple they design and ask people to manufacture without pressure making it work correctly
moo, 29 Aug 20154K doesn't = better quality, it's a gimmick, the bitrate on all these phones is too low. What ... moreI've been lurking on GSMa for years... never commenting once. In that time, I have read comments that have simply made me lose all faith in humanity. Whether its "iOS v Android," or the mindless "spec race" war waging between manufacturers, I continue to wish I could regain moments of my life wasted by reading mindless nonsense.
However, this is by far the most intelligent statement I have ever read on this site. Ranging from comments to GSMa-written reviews, I'm delighted to see someone capable of intelligent thought.
Anonymous, 30 Aug 2015"So, What was in Apple smartphones that was not already available in market?"
Let... moreIt's not comparison. If you want to compare something, you must start from the Zero point which is hardware, Invents, Connection from hardware to end user (OS), then software which simplifies orders in low level languages. In order to patent something to your Brand you must invent it. Buy another factory which invent something and point the production order to another factory is called patent holding which in apple language means innovation. You imagine if Samsung was not insisted on new features in handsets, Apple moved himself to do something? The passed Steve Jobs who was one of the most influential person in iPhone availability clearly spoke about silliness to make or even have a screen bigger than 3.5" (What iPhone 4 was). If you don't want to wake, there is no problem, there are 150 Million people outside like you, If you want to understand what you support, leave media and do some researches in both patent offices and previous strategy of the industry, then you will find out why apple suddenly turned to phablet, wearable, etc.
Many of you imagine that Apple send blueprints of the SoC's to manufacturers and they are almost blind, just copy and print chips or their duty is just production of chips from wafers in clean rooms.
If you imagine that Apple is an innovative technology brand and their engineer work 24 hours a day to optimize ARM architectures' to maximize the performance for their next flagship, Just visit physically or search USPTO, JPO, KIPRIS, SIPO official websites, then you will find the answer to the case against iPhone 4 which stole the Wave customization of its SoC. You imagine any body respect you in Apple? They produce a same chipset in two different factory with two different manufacturing process 16nm and 14nm. You think Apple send them what they need to produce chips? The only thing Apple do is to pay, regardless of what they are doing. optimization in OS for an architecture, limited to resources to maximize output, if 16nm ones overheat, 14nm ones work flawlessly; on the other hand if 16nm work normal, 14nm will definitely underwork as the power management is something beyond battery usage optimization. If you are old enough to remember Pentium III (600 Mhz with 128KB cache L2) disaster, then you will see what will happen to this strategy. The fact is that, a semi conductor production plant offer designs to companies, then among many samples, the company choose the best option available, and finally sign the contract, after legal requirements met, production will start. Don't you (If work in electronic and computer industry) ever notice why Qualcomm's SD810 Chipset's overheat was not considered by the chip maker? because TSMC did some tricks and in order to catch the customer, did some tricks in order to release the heat in proper processes which Qualcomm engineers find the affect after Samsung which already worked for more than two years in Big.LITTLE architecture.
What is in Apple's Smart phone that is not available on the market yet?
1- Nothing official for 6S or 6s.
2- Under powered internals with over powered internal price.
3- Congress power behind (If you live here, know what I'm talking about. If not, forget it)
4- Low build quality with tough build price.
5- Empty market to advertise. (anyone with fame will be gifted {Tax invasion officially})
6- Another patent obtained from Microsoft, Google, etc. either peacefully or Forcefully.
7- Rebrading what already is available. Taptic!?!, Touch ID, iCloud, iMessage. All for NSA.
8- {0} is another one that {1} forgot.
If understand, Thank GOD!
If not, Have a good afternoon.

Your comparison is pointless in the first place,.

If speak a bit more technical, the rivalry always make improvements in many departments.
For example:
On 3GS year, Omnia II had Front facing camera with better quality, bigger picture 5MP main camera and dual-LED flash. Display was slightly bigger with higher resolution.
In 2010, Display size was the same but, resolution was improved by Apple, Front Facing arrived by Apple, 5MP with LED was also familiar with previous year's Omnia II. Display in Rival units waves from 3.3" to 4.0".
2011, Camera becomes up to date; It reached 1080p (video) & 8MP (size) with better algorithm for Image quality. Note arrived with 5.3". Apple and the fan base laughed out loudly... . Front facing becomes 2MP for larger pictures to archive. Camera was up to date. NFC arrived. S was in its 2nd generation with 4.3" HSPA and 4.5" with LTE. Mid-ranger Xcover, brought dust and water resistance into 3.65" for desired market.
2012, Finally 4.0" but with strange 4 by 7.1 aspect ratio! LTE becomes available. Secondary camera crawled up to 1.2 MP size with acceptable quality. Port changed to reversible lightning. SIII arrived with 4.8" HD display. improved Camera (Front and Main). LTE on board. display size topped to 5.5" HD by Note II.
2013, Strange improvement, 64-bit architecture for 100% 32-bit apps in their app store!?! Touch ID (Fingerprint Sensor) and claimed improvement in camera department. S4 with 5" FHD, Camera 13MP and 2MP with claimed improved quality. After all, Wireless Charging which was available since Lumia 920 (2012/October) arrived here. Note 3's Display switched to 5.7" FHD and 2160p recording.(2160p and larger are mainly for current FHD displays and also for those who want to extract high quality missed photos from a recorded film.). 1080p recording in 60fps was also available in the unit. Galaxy Round arrived with no aim to the market, except to show off the flexible display.
2014, Another display size 4.7" with another strage ratio 6 by 10.6 for 6 and regular 5.5" with FHD for 6 Plus. 1080p@60fps and 720p@240fps recording, photography didn't changed in 6, but 6 Plus sports OIS. Although limited, NFC arrived. Note 4 brought a kind of inaccurate and difficult to use fingerprint sensor.5.7" QHD display, OIS added 16MP good quality Main camera with 3.7MP Front Facing for QHD recording. Fast battery charging was a useful feature for 3220mAh battery.Note edge arrived to show that flexible displays can be more than something to show off. S5 was IP67 certified, 5.1 FHD. 2.0" Gear S, a 90% independent real smart watch became available.
2015, Apple watch arrived......Nothing special to talk. Waiting for upcoming Flagships with rumors about features. Note5 and S6 Edge+ have 5.7" QHD while S6, S6Edge, S6 Active are all in 5.1" QHD,(based on DxO) 16MP overall top quality mobile camera to date along 5MP front facing wide angle for better low light shots. Their Fingerprint Sensor is now on par or even above available Touch ID in iPhones. S6Edge+ bad copy of Edge for bigger display customers, without IR. Note5 is a bit above the Note 4.
So, What was in Apple smartphones that was not already available in market?
If you are among slaves, nothing to say; but, if you are on other category, your comment is Vice Versa. so, we will sooner or later see QHD+ Display, a kind of pen, Wireless Charging, Heart rate sensor, water, dust, etc. protection and Better Processing unit and Memory combination in Apple's handsets.
Fashion slaves are temporary winner, but long time loser. Those who in Nokia era counted on SonyEricsson became absolute loser of their own. Apple seats not above where once Nokia was before. Another trend will change the game. If you pay to get what worth it, you are winner, otherwise a bad loser. the price tag of Apple and Samsung are artificial, but there is a choice in Android market for those who search to find the best among many high end handsets. How about Apple? You have to accept what they force you to do in both Hardware and software. The reason is that you want iOS. A Good Android handset is expensive too. The lower level in hardware affect both platform badly. That's Why Microsoft didn't support WP7 users after WP8 arrival. Low end and lower mid range Android handset never see official update and Original iPhone to iPhone 4 went to trash can.
AnonD-8709, 29 Aug 2015I think the forcetouch will be used only in touch id, just like the new macbook's touchpad, no... moreNope it could also be used to screen and Apple does it already to the Apple watch..
I wonder if Huawei's 'Incredible Touch' woulf employ a smarter force feedback system. Tactile feedback goes a long way in making amore immersive user experience.
Just imagine virtual onscreen controls where the buttons actually feel like buttons. It would finally add back the fun of real buttons that got muted in this smartphone revolution.

4K on mobile is pointless. as the screen cant handle playback. Basically your playing a 4K video back on a 1080p screen. yes it will look good. but just not as good as 4K.
4K doesn't = better quality, it's a gimmick, the bitrate on all these phones is too low. What everyone is doing is putting a slightly higher bitrate for 4K and then blaming the user when they run out of their 16gb of space, because they shot in 4K, since they all film in 1080p by default. It's just a get out of jail card for the OEMs... no just give us a higher bitrate 1080p video, we're not idiots.
As for the larger pixel size meaning better in low light, the WRGB pixels are there apparently to give it better low light performance and allowing them to increase the resolution for the same sensor size. Having seen the sensor in question in some Chinese phone I forgot the name of, WRGB works as it performed better in low like even with the smaller pixel pitch.... with less noise too so it wasn't just the ISO boosted.
