Anonymous, 02 Sep 2015Hahhaha well huawie simply copied Apple.. or Maybe they will pay Apple for using such feature...That technology already exist long ago. Geir Jensen invent it in 1995 but never get popular until Apple retrieve the idea and make it their own. Apple only patent the feature and function not the force touch technology itself. That is belong to Jensen.

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2015Maybe, not everyone uses phones for gaming. What a concept.I have not one game installed on my phone but I often use some video features like 120p without stuttering that needs raw gpu horsepower. There is more than games that can profit from a good GPU

In all fairness, phone manufactures have to wait for other manufacturers to make the technology available for their phones. Very similar to buying components for your PC. Just because Apple is buying a component for their phone from another manufacturer doesn't mean that other phone manufactures aren't able to purchase that same component.

Anonymous, 01 Sep 2015kind of thing copied from apple. King of phone is always copied by the others. As far as I know, Copy means use of something which is already available in the same way. So, Rumors of Apple upcoming phone is not official availability; Huawei Stole (if not patented by itself) the functionality from Mac devices which are already available. If functionality would be the same, iPhone is a bad loser by not protecting its confidential information.
Anyway, If you know how this technology really work and what this feature bring us for easier interaction, answer the question correctly. Everybody Know that Apple (somehow) made this technology available, but the difference from what is inside other gadgets by apple is important.

If you don't know the answer, search for the details in order to be an informed fanboy instead of blind supporter and later furious hater.

                                      His answer is:

Force touch is a feature (developed in current apple product line) that senses the level of force in touchpad or appropriate display and responds accordingly.

This feature was first used in mass by game consoles. SEGA in its "Mega Drive"(6-Buttons Game Controllers) used it as Three level pressure which respond properly. in earlier version of games the center pressure worked out, but in Games like Top Gear, Mortal Kombat II, Road Rush III, Shinobi III and Bare Knuckles II, all three level of pressure reacted accordingly.
After failure in accuracy and harm to fingers based on long time pressure, they made changes which are still available in game consoles. SEGA in its "Dreamcast" half-swapped this feature by adding Analog parts to controllers. Roll in games were selective by either Analog or Digital D-Pad. Then Two trigger was added to final sketches to made the Dreamcast's controller commercially available.

This feature for Mac OS which is just a toy for either toddlers in technology or single purpose fixed duty users, is excellent as they don't use the feature for long time, but for gamers which mostly are in iOS area, at first it is eye catching, but after regular use of the feature they will respond what SEGA gamers responded.

The difference is that On that time You pressed the plastic or Aluminum button for long time, but in iOS goods, you press something made of glass which is as hard as those plastic.

There must be a switch to on or off the feature, for people who don't have complete control over their nerves (that are too many).
If the feature arrives without On or Off ability, it won't affect the sale, but in real world the reputation of companies who used it will be affected badly by those who find it annoying.

Wow, Samsung is late to the party.

Just wait, over the next 12 months the Top 5 Android manufacturers will be all over "Force Touch".
