Huawei should first update their processors, the graphics performance is three years old, the xiaomi mi2 (launched 3 years ago) gets better gfxbench OFFSCREEN scores than the huawei p8 and double the on-screen performance due to the lower resolution. It's a shame to sell such devices as high end...

Does it have something similar to the 'taptic' engine though? Smarter force feedback is a big part of why force touch is even useful.

You all get that you can have similar feature in every device?

It doesnt mean to be hardware feature. Most of phones have so accurate touchscreen that when you touch it harder it record few more point on the screen that can be recorded as a harder touch.

In XDA you have one app, but actually there is loots more of them:
              http://forum.xda-developers.com/xposed/modules/mod-force-touch-detector-t3130154

I tested it, and its actually work really good, so you dont need specific hardware for that.
Apple "taptic engine" is more or less just "vibrators" that give you fake feel of touching...
When you play with it its cool, but when you use it every day... you touch touchpad too quick to say that its needed to use it.

Kirin 935 is weak. Was expecting 950 which will be a beast.

This is just an interims-device. The real successor (Mate 8 with Kirin 950 soc, QHD display and 4GB RAM) will be released H1/2016.
