Internet speed is arguably faster than it used to be decade ago. From 4G to LTE-Advance. Now we are heading to the pre-5G network which will be available to consumer soon. It is using the existing 4G network except it is faster. No complain there.

It just push your data to the cloud and the one in the phone storage is gone. Only happened when you are connected to wifi. It don't consume your precious mobile data.
david, 02 Sep 2015why is everything revolves inside android???
why not show some love to BBOS, Tizen, Sailfis... moredont you know why?
because bbos is not open source and is out of date
tizen is only on samsung
sailfish has not a great support it should have from developers
david, 02 Sep 2015why is everything revolves inside android??? why not show some love to BBOS, Tizen, Sailfis... moreBecause Android is mainstream, and have more apps the the others. Also Android's source code is free.
Its a cool phone. Just don't like the idea of deleting data bkuz I don't use them. Not everybody have regular internet connections.

why not show some love to BBOS, Tizen, Sailfish ??? and windows
Good smartphone but since I still use dialup to browse Internet, I guess this is not for me. ;)
Considering the kind of radical changes these days starting from non removable batteries to eliminating SD cards, its simple that the future is taking away the user privileges and control of their freedom and personal/private life to be completely controlled by robots like terminator 4. Now i have more than 3GB+ size HD movies stored in my SD card and i am using a 128GB SD card with 64GB internal storage having everything offline and instantly quick access. Who will consider cloud storage anyways? I dont have internet access everytime. I doubt that this technological changes will eliminate SD cards like how old PC floppy drives became obsolete. And i am sure in the future all these good things will be in the museum and all will be sadly remembering the old days of flexibility, after all these changes have made all users bound and forced to adapt these changes.
So as it seems, without the mention of GSM/network capability/support nor SIM slots, it may perform like a purely cloud or seemingly WiFi-only device (phone, whichever you wish) ala iPod Touch with mainstream smartphone/flagship specs
[deleted post]And how you know he is not from US? Please don't insult others. This is not the place for swearing.
Give me unlimited cloud ram usage then i will buy you Nextbit. There are too many cloud storage already anyway.
the concept is nice. hope to get this one with dual-sim capability.
Would've been something to look in to .....If was for sale in January last year !
You guys are media hoarder and don't even realize it. Who in the world keep so much data anyway. 1tb or 6tb won't be enough for all the complainers. Btw, the amount of storage is not fixed to 100gb. The article said they raise the cap without charging you anything once exceed the 100gb mark. Easy to say, it is unlimited.

It said it will backup regularly only when you are charging and have an active WIFI connection. Not mobile data. I doubt a lot of country still doesn't have Wifi yet in 2015.
