ive got a major bug.. my music player cant refresh or add songs.. i got hard reset format memory card and try 1500 songs then 500 songs then 200 .. nothing happens... what is the problem? i tried my memory card to other phone nokia6120 but its ok .. the problem is the software of 5800...

i bought my 5800 4-5 mnthz bak..i updated it..itz 31.V bt seemz 2 b anothr new version...bt my phne iz nt showing it...whenevr i check 4 updatez it sayz dat derez no new update..wt shud i do?..plz reply...

my friends, i own the n900 since a week. within 3 days.. i got my first update.. yesterday i updated for the second time. let me tell u guys.. the phone rocks, and its so much fun to use. sometimes its hard to take my eyes off it. ovi store is great ! photos rotate when u turn the phone. also i just realised u dont need to go to contacts or phone to dial. just type on mainscreen and the concerned thing opens. im still waiting for an update where we can zoom into an image by circling a finger rather than use the volume keys. and also the update for using the phone in portrait mode. nokia hurry up plz !! :)

i have just up date my nokia 5800 V 40.0.005 through nokia OVI pc suit not through old pc suit which did not have support for windows 7 and i have got all the changes i-e
There is no official changelog yet so these are the main changes detected:
* Kinetic scrolling everywhere except: main menu, application menu, browser;
* Home style widget with Nokia 5530;
* if you rotate the phone horizontally on messages, it automatically activates the QWERTY keyboard;
* Improved application "Updating Applications", which also renames Upgrade SW;
* Touch more responsive;
* Improved stability;
my findings:
- Touchscreen vibration different
- when u receive a call when phone is locked u get two options either answer or unlock
see the animation. keep pressing the one u want to happen.
- the phonebook icon keypad has become smaller
- download icon went missing
- ovi contacts added as default v1.20.09

Latest firmware has made 5800 unbeatable. customized home screen + kinetic scrolling was what users were waiting since a long time... and now they've got their wish granted.
One of the best things about Nokia is that they provide regular firmware updates to improve the performance of the device unlike samsung who are very lazy at providing firmware updates.

Can some one please help me in adding the contacts bar on the home screen of 5800 xpressmusic? For me its a blank plain home screen.
Also i don't find the updates for 40.0.0 in my ovi suite? Is it not available for all?

Once I installed this can I change the location of the programs?
I like them much better on the top vs the bottom where they are a pain to reach them. Otherwise I just keep it like this, it works fine.
btw, is this upgrd available for US 5800s too?

5800 is great phone for last 6 months.
-Looks like only 5800 APAC v40 is available. (Is Brazil=NAM-US?)
-Check for updates using Navifirm
