Where is the OIS in camera? I guess sony once again ditched that .& what abt the Z5 premium sony? When will that be available?
SD810 is a deal breaker for this great phone!
I dont care about camera.if they release the compact one on 16gb internal in our market i wont buy it
AnonD-246723, 02 Sep 2015You forgot about ram camera screen and that flapless usb port .Camera is almost the same (only 2 mp added, compared to the Z2), RAM is the same on both Z2 and Z5 (3 GB) and I never touched the usb flaps for charging anyway (used magnetic docking station).
A-Nice, 02 Sep 2015The chip set version for the xperia z5 premium of snapdragon 810 is version 2. No overheating.... moreIt's still the same architecture, same transistors, same transistor size etc. It's just under clocked which of course will make it produce less heat
I wish the they used the SD 808, its HexaCore and its more than enough, they should ditch 8 cores for phones already.
Good they retained the 720p and 1080p displays, no need for 1440p and 4k, its only a waste of costs and battery.

Sony wouldn't be using sd 810 version v1. I'm sure everyone was expecting snapdragon 820 with 4gig of ram.
Was really looking forward to Z5, but SD810 is deal breaker, and that is it for me with Sony. But for those who buys, the good news is that, it is forcasted that this winter will be very cold and they will have extra heater at no additional cost.
Anonymous, 02 Sep 2015Just a 0.3mm different ok! why you complain too much?! It is almost same thick, but Z5 compact... moreAnd what about the rather awkward volume key? Didn't Sony think for a single second many times there would be accidental press on camera shutter while pressing volume down and vice versa?
Seriously, I am not a sony hater, but this year all the 3 are big disappointments compared to their predecessors.
haven't they learn anything?
what a total waste.
another old generation product for a premium price.
they must go for sd820 or Exynos 7420 or else...
gogu, 02 Sep 20152gb on compact ...:( at least 3gb if not 4g ,..... you have a 64bits proc...why 2gb?Since it only has a 720p screen and the GPU's on SoC's share the RAM it doesn't need as much as the high res phones. That said, the 4K one should have more RAM. The Z5C will probably run circles around the z5 Premium when it comes to benchmarks.
There is still far too much bezel, Sony....even low end phones do much better. And still the tiny LED flash which is no use. What a shame! :(
Someone please explain why the hell Sony launched and wasted their resources on Z3+ when they had already planned Xperia Z5?? And same goes for the launch of Xperia Z5. Also, the whole world was shouting out so loud against this epic failure called Snapdragon 810 and still they went with it. What makes it worse is the fact that despite the utter battery killer that Snapdragon 810 was on Z3+, they even shrank the battery in Z5 to 2900 mah despite making it thicker. Seriously, all this doesn't make any sense to me. and then these stupid arrogant and ignorant so called Global Brands complain of lack of consumers' loyalty? Really Sony? that's the best you could come up with?
i hope its s.d 810 v2
AnonD-142922, 02 Sep 2015Man u crazy ? For xenon flash u would need extra 0.5 cm phones would be thick like Nokia N8Yeah so? Nokia N8 was not too thick, I would gladly have phone that thick if it had xenon flash and bigger battery
Just a 0.3mm different ok! why you complain too much?! It is almost same thick, but Z5 compact will easy to holding fingers when taking photos. The design is beautiful and more like a Japanese phone, what is ugly? you may see the back cover of the IPhone 6 and the Samsung Galaxy 6 and the Note 5, the same design language: An Eye of The Goldfish, that is the most ugly design!!!
