APM, 03 Sep 2015Are Android manufactures currently competing who will make a better iPhone copy? :/ Yes, another "iPhone copy" from those lame Android manufacturers, because Apple didn't copy HTC's design at all or the many Android features that had defined Android for a long time...

But I see, now that iPhone is more and more a copy of Android + HTC, one must blame this in someone else. "Android is copying" they whine and scream.

Also due to that sole reason I chose to get Galaxy S6 Edge so that it stands out and chose it in Green so that it further shines in the crowd. ;). You just need to look beyond obvious, there are options. :)

I have used S2 - S6 Edge with protruding camera. Even when I had to deal with it daily, never felt it mountain high or any disturbing. Get a life apart from just hating. Yes it's easy to write negative on Internet.but seriously there's much more to life..being honest for starters. Go check the hardware unit. Use it and then come back. AND even if there is camera hump, I prefer it than the bulky Moto, Boxy Xperias. It adds a character to the phones.

It doesnt look like a copy of any product I've seen.
And I've seen the all itterations of the iPhone.
I've also seen all HCT Ones, plus some other with similar looks.

From the front, it's a display and some bezels, behind glass. Sure, there could be more going on, with some metal details on the front (the big grills on the HTCs are a bit different, but since they have so many holes, they look worse from a styling point).
It doesnt have any hardware keys, but those are sometimes not visivle on other devices, as they might be coveret by you hand, when using the device (the situation most people sould see the device's front).

The sides, have metal frames, but those are sloping in a way I haven't seen on another device. But yes, those are metal frames.
But since people like metal, what should they have gone for?

                                  The back.
Well, it has those bands, like HTC and iPhone, and a few others. Those are at the moment a necessarity, although it does impact on the looks negatively. And since others have them with a similar pattern, probably because it's the best, it might be somewhat reminiscent of other devices.
But that camera module does not look like the one on the iPhone or the HTC.

If you dont see the brand, could you then tell who made it?
                                  No
Might people think it's an iphone?
Well perhaps, it has some similarities, and most people are not geeks, that knows exactly what every version of the iPhone looks like.
Could people misstake it for an HTC?
Very few. Most peoples aren't geeks, so they mostly know iPhone (apple, if they even know who makes them), and Samsung. So those would be their guesses, and it looks more like any iPhone they've seen, than any Samsung device. Those that know of HTC, are mostly aware that there are quite a few brands out there, that are trying to make their devices look premium, thus, would likely not assume it's an HTC.

It looks pretty nice to me.
But it doesn't seem to be as good value for money as the P8. And it has a camera hump... but I wonder if the optics are any better than the ones in the P8, or if the camera will be on the same level. I wonder why they did put it behind the display, and not in the portion above, as that would mean less of a hump or no hump at all.

I'm disappointed. Rumours talked about a phone with very high specs and instead we get another step backwards.
Do these guys really think we're going to buy phones like this one or the note 5 simply because they look nice?
And there isn't a single reputable site saying anything about this...
Oh well, I guess I'll just keep my money this year... ;-)
