AnonD-425519, 03 Sep 2015Yes the 801 is still better than the 808 and 810 (no idea about 820, let's wait for that) as i... more801 itself is an ancient design almost identical on Snapdragon S4 chipset (1.5ghz Dual Core Krait) that came out nearly 3 years before the Galaxy S5. Hardly the best example. The pinnacle of the Krait Series was the first in the series: 1.5ghz Dual Core set up. I still have toy devices that use this chipset that are 100% lag free after 4 years of flashing roms and heavy use.

Thus you literally s... moreYes the 801 is still better than the 808 and 810 (no idea about 820, let's wait for that) as it is more reliable. It doesn't mean that it's faster (Though my GS5 still runs games and some apps faster than my LG G4 and the M9 that I had), but it functions better with less lag/heating.

iOS is a toy compared to a rooted Android.
Google promised RAM optimization in Android 6, hope that helps.

And then, the Qualcomm chipsets actually are in some circunstance in head to head with the Exynos chipsets? Now since this year Qualcomm lost the race to Samsung in the war of mobile chipsets. Now Samsung, if they want, they make use of their chipsets and already they don't need the Qualcomm chipsets for nothing. Remember that, Samsung has possibility of choice.

So its not all about optimization, sometimes it's also just raw power that let run ios smoothly ;)

Anyway A series is still a dual core unlike octa core used by samsung.
Like i said mediatek added 2 more cores and made it 10 to beat exynos.

Samsung did 14nm mainly because of its partnerships with Globalfoundaries.
IBM demonstrated 6nm process who is not even in the domain.. lol
And till 2010 and 11 , samsung was way behind tsmc
