Motorola made the first mobile phone.
However, motorola did not by themselves invent the mobile phone, several of companies were involved with that.

It's great to read all that motorola and pass through over the year. As much as a love the motorola phone and product i still have my motorola still going strong like the up's and down they had. Motorola Razor still going strong for all these year and still be my side.

Motorola made cracking processors without these we wouldnt of had great home computers and consoles in the 80s / 90s. The Commodore Amiga used motorola processors as did Sega in their Genesis (Mega Drive). They were a huge company and just fell short because of the economic crash in 1987 hit a lot of companies. Bravo Motorola for going from strengh to strength and good work GSMA, these are nice pieces the Sony one you did a while ago was also awesome. Could you do more? This is really informative especially to your younger viewers whom think Apple or Samsung are really just the big companies. There is more than meets the eye.

I once used the Motorola RAZR mobile phone it was a great looking mobile phone with good productivity, and then i sell it after about one year, and now and after about 7 years I'm using Motorola MOTO G FIRST GEN. and I'm very happy using it, before have it I used many flagships, but this phone with Google support is amazing, and soon I will Upgrade to Moto X Second Generation, or Nexus 6, the best 2 companies from my point of view are Motorola and LG, and the emerging company is Huawei.

this is a slap on ignorant people faces....saying that emerging companies are better than moto... they dont know what they are talking about... those one use tech alreadyused by giant moto.

Remember Nokia N-gage, Nokia 3250 et... moreyeah your right those back they nokia make smartphone difference shape and model size compare this day almost the same. but there is one smartphone totally difference VERTU SMARTPHON so awesome and unique try to search that one...

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2015They invented it and they still the best and alive unlike Nokia.yeah you are right motorola company have a long way, can't imagine they manage to give communication miles away moon to earth no one company can ever make like motorola did, nokia is the best smart but maybe they have reason why they sale there phone business in ordered for them to came back in business like motorola did lovnovo did, the good new they always came back to business and make smartphone best among the rest hope nokia did to. lot of people waiting for nokia smartphone they are unique...
