See. Sony engineers are genius. They are not stupid enough to put SD810 without proper handling of overheating issues. They are the high tech Japanese for god sake. Unlike other chinese brands.

We may not like their design language and softwares experience but they are pretty good at what they do and play a vital role in overall advancement of Tech. and lead the smart phone industry along with our beloved Apple so you should respect every brand.

Sony's solution is to throw a dual heat pipe and some thermal compound on the problematic Snapdragon 810 to avoid overheating. Samsung's solution was to completely ditch the Snapdragon 810 in favor of the Exynos 7420. Not only does the Exynos 7420 outperform the Snapdragon 810 in most test's but it does so without overheating.

Let me tell you... when thermal paste is used, it basically absorb and dissipates heat. That heat is transferred to any metal in contact. Since heat is energy, you may want to spread the heat across a large surface. The more contact surface you have, the higher the absorption. Since SD810 V2.1 heat is now sucked up by pipes, it keeps its own temperature under control and prevent throttling.
How do you think water cooling works ? let alone a standard heatsink...

If the S810 overheats, whatever cooling measures is useless. The outside may be cooled but internally the chip will still throttle. What's the point of adding an additional tube for f#$?

It won't run cooler, just the whole phone will heat up evenly.
Also, the 4k screen is an unneeded addition and a waste of money (much like the whole unit).

What better confirmation of the S810's excessive appetite for battery juice to generate excessive waste heat than the necessity to equip the phone with two heat pipes instead of one. And all just for serving more display pixels than anyone can possibly discern. Just silly. Plain and simple just silly. Hopefully the upcoming LG Nexus won't feature the S810.

People are so dumb to be biased toward a company.... moreAt this time, yes, the snapdragon 810 is the only chip on the market with enough power to power a 4K displaz. You may not forget it has about 5 times the GPU power than the helio x10, so a 4k sd810 device will probably perform better than a 1080p helio x10 or at least on pair, the heliox10 doesn't even support that resolution and if it would, the performance would be awful...

My phone has sd800 and 2gb ram and still works better than Note 4. That touchwiz kills any Samsung device.
I dont like fanboyism, nor Im any Sony, Samsung fanboy, i like what i see is good for me. I use LG brand and probably will with G4 Note(Pro) but still i will say which phone is good based on reviews. But you are crankin up this because of the chipset...what a stupid thing to do.
