I hardly see any logic in having bunch of devices by naming Sony Xperia Z5 then Z5 Premium and Z5 Compact and now Z5 Compact premium. The second worst point is it's screen resolution 720p, for a couple of years I'm using FHD handset and while looking on HD screen I have weird feelings and concerning to this points paying a lot of money for the device with specifications like this is not a good deal . And come on Sony start thinking creatively, your old design is not impressive any more, only changing the name of the design will not save the situation
AnonD-246723, 05 Sep 2015You see how terrible cortex A53 when compared to krait already and you still want mediatek .The snapdragon 810 has the same cores as mediatek helio x20 along with added price, lower clock speed and a constant fear of overheating (the last one could now be ruled out but there is still that doubt). X20 is better thsn 810 in everything except at gpu, but that would make noticeable difference at 1440p or 2160p, not at fullHD or below.
Anonymous, 05 Sep 2015How about a variant with a different processor like mediatek . You see how terrible cortex A53 when compared to krait already and you still want mediatek .
Eventually they will release a 2K resolution of Z5 in Japan also... Is that how is it going to be? 4K on flagship then 2K on midrange and 1080p on entry level? I'm okay with 1080p on flagship unless they innovate the battery.
Hahaha good Sony lol z5 premium 3gb ram z5 compact premium 4gb ram
AnonD-364662, 05 Sep 2015Unfair, we want that in Europe! Otherwise Sony will lose me as a client Me too :(
I don't care about the resolution. But why not make that battery capacity the same on all versions, including the 4gb RAM?
aceofgenerations, 05 Sep 2015Soon they're going to release the Sony Xperia Z5 Tablet Compact Premium Ultra.LOL

I want this phone
I love Xperia Z5 compact but I'm not happy with 720p screen
AnonD-404130, 05 Sep 2015wondering why sony calls it premium when the screen is still only 720p of 5-years old technology. Try reading again. The rumored spec is 1080p, not 720p. Additionally, the 720p screen on the Z3 compact is fantastic. Miles above the Galaxy S3's screen quality, which was also 720p. 720p also started becoming a standard 3 years ago, not 5.
Xperiafan324, 05 Sep 2015Honestly at that screen size, I'd rather take the insane GPU grunt of the Adreno 430 and the a... moreAt those low inches there is no much difference between 1080p and 720p, so they won't gain much eye candy, but the Japanese fellas are going to gain much much smoothness (performance). 4GB of Ram means 3 times the available Ram (1gb is typically reserved for OS operations) . 3 times the ram may mean almost 3 times the responsiveness as each and every app would be cached in memory making it/them ultra fast.
So the Japanese get performance. Eye candy? Not so much, as iPhone shows us in those low inches 720p is enough for most people...
The Z5C with FHD is what I call the best phone for me. Sony should make it available worldwide seriously. I want it soooooo bad except for the print in the back

Soon they're going to release the Sony Xperia Z5 Tablet Compact Premium Ultra.
Honestly at that screen size, I'd rather take the insane GPU grunt of the Adreno 430 and the amazing battery life that the regular Compact offers with its 720p screen.
But I understand that some people prefer eyecandy over pure performance. Unlikely that this will make its way out of Japan though.
