On Windows 10 I use Pale Moon(64bits Firefox) as the default browser(setting it as default was F-ing EASY!!!)
I use edge because I will never install flash on my computer again, and Windows has it embedded with fixes and updates delivered with Windows Update.
The best of both worlds.
Spike1, 07 Sep 2015Di d you try changing the search engine!!# Can anyone tell me in which way windows is getting... moreYou can sell that computer and become a LUnix preacher... Preaching how infallible LUnix is(Blatant LIE) and how LUnix is not UNIX because the LUnix god(Torvalds) said so...
Therion, 09 Sep 2015i use chrome but i like edge. its pretty fast. good work microsoftWhat's this article talking about?
-The Edge "ad" appears even when the user IS already using Edge!!! Not just Firefox or Chrome.
-Chrome not always follow standards, just because it wasn't invented by google, I won't list some well known examples.
-Changing the default browser on Windows 10 is easy as eating a pie, I'm using Pale Moon(64bits Firefox) on mine.
-The only spying I will get on Edge is to improve the experience on the browser, it's the same thing that Firefox does, Sending my history, loading time on pages, libraries, plugins and similar telemetry; Chrome literally reports EVERYTHING I do and everywhere I go and what kind of hardware and software I have installed, heck! even MY COOKIES are sent, Android being an OS does exactly the same... Unless it's a Cyanogen or any Chinese ROM.
You fear the NSA, CIA, FBI, Mossad, MI6 and FSB... They are amateurs against Chrome...

I actually like Edge.
Di d you try changing the search engine!!#
Can anyone tell me in which way windows is getting better? Once it Install updates the pc/laptop will become so slow that it will force you to restart. You dont even know that it downloaded them till it happens
I thought Microsoft are liberals and they dont do Monopoly and stuff? Of coarse I remember the EU thing. Well by the way GSMArena it wouldnt allow me to change the search engine.
I'm satisfied with Edge. It's like updated version of Safari for Windows, so it doesn't use too much resources like many others. Except it lacks drag and drop upload function, fullscreen adds white bars instead of black for 16:9 videos on 16:10 monitor, right click search function and basic add-ons, it does its job.
Bob's Your Uncle, 06 Sep 2015I don't see what the issue is, Google does the same thing if you visit their site using a brow... morecouldn't agree more.
I think edge is important because I'll be needed it to download firefox or chrome...
Are you kidding me? google does the exact same thing (thou its worse, shows you to use chrome on google.com before search) and its ok...
I don't see what the issue is, Google does the same thing if you visit their site using a browser that isn't Chrome.
I'm sorry but aren't those stats less than realistic, because of Chrome's preloaded pages and things like that??
I have tested Edge and it is not ready for prime time - it is slow and hangs a lot...
IE is way better, but still not on level with Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera...
Anonymous, 06 Sep 2015Don't really see anything wrong with this approach. But MS is way over its head, Chrome isn't... moreOh really? So if Google suggests GMail on the top of the search results when a person types "create email account" it would be an antitrust lawsuit for pushing GMail, but if Microsoft can put banners promoting their own browser it's ok? (by the way, Edge doesn't work with quite a few corporate platforms to the point where web conferencing services like WebEx will just not be supported through the browser for quite a while, so go figure what "we recommend this" can get you in)
I just give Edge a try, no problem...
Don't really see anything wrong with this approach.
But MS is way over its head, Chrome isn't just the most used browser on desktop (where it has tons and tons of optimised web-apps aswell) but is also number one on Android - the dominant mobile OS for the masses. I can see WP users switching to Edge, but I doubt most Android users would give up the cloud-based continuity that Chrome provides, ditto for Safari and iOS users (though I doubt they'd use Win10 anyway).
I was very impressed with edge when i first tried it. Definately no need for another browsers on my two pc's.
Well iam using, edge its pretty fast stopped, using chrome,
snort, 05 Sep 2015It only took Chrome a million years to get decent font rendering.Yeah, but I am a fanboy of chrome even if someone consider its a spyware .
