I hope Philippines will be included before the year(2010) ends! lol
I wonder why are we always late.
Anyways, i love my phone, looking forward to get that Samsung Store directly from my phone menu.
Have a nice day everyone!
i hope they'll also extend it to their touchwiz phones (jet, star, corby, e.g.) which i think were sold more than their omnia.

I have an Omnia i900 but I never use the Samsung Apps store. Why? Because it must be installed in the tiny main device memory and most apps are available outside the store anyway. So those who are disappointed that it doesn't support the Jet aren't missing much.
That said, AFAIK the Jet runs on a proprietary OS. When choosing a phone it is "smart" to choose one with a mainstream OS, like Symbian, Android or WinMo. Or one that's simply too popular to ignore, like Apple. Otherwise the chances for apps and software support going forward are pretty slim.
chocoberry, 19 Jan 2010It's not "discrimination" that Samsung does not support Jet, Star, Corby, or any oth... moreHi Chocoberry.
First they could support the Jet. The COULD come out with their own apps for the jet as THEY PROMISED they would do. No one is holding a gun to their heads limiting them to develop only symbian or windows app. Do not forget that the pre installed apps that you see in the main menu, whether it is the alarm or canvas files, are APPLICATIONS. So it is a CHOICE of samsung if they want to further develop apps for the Jet. It is technically possible.
Second, it is THEY who came out and called it "Smarter than a Smartphone." NOT US. But it turned out that not only are there no apps for this phone, not only samsung lied about planning to develop their own apps for this phone, but also that samsung itself made the Jet to be ANTIapplication. Even with the few, bad, non working Java apps that exist and we could download to the phone, we can NOT because Samsung put a size limit as to how many java apps you can download to the phone memory and at the same time PROHIBITING you to download to your memory card...
So not only is it NOT smarter than smartphone, not only is it NOT even on the same level as a smartphone, it is the complete opposite of a smartphone.
Of course, Samsung is a private company and they can do what every they want with each phone. BUT THEY CANNOT COME OUT AND TRICK CUSTOMERS INTO BUYING A PHONE WITH FALSE ADVERTISING!!!!
i8910 Omnia HD is NOT SUPPORTED. Please correct this, I got all excited..
ok. now officially we can call the new moto for samsung jet is " butter than smartphone'..
It's not "discrimination" that Samsung does not support Jet, Star, Corby, or any other "mobile feature phones."
In contrast, most of Nokia phones, so-called "smartphones,
" run Symbian OS. So they can. And again, that Nokia is doing is what Samsung is trying to do with Bada.
i think samsung just concentrate at europe only, we asian they just forget it. so should we buy samsung phone?
Jet does not have either WM or Symbian OS.
Thus Samsung Appstore (which consists of only WM/Symbian(Android?) apps) does not, no, cannot support Jet. Simple is it.
i think samsung is unfair just limit to certain country and omnia user only for their appl, how about us, jet, corby, star user? i'm very dissapointed with samsung. i'm not pro nokia but i think nokia provide better support for all of their costumer without discrimination.
It's strange that Samsung offers more support for Europe than for Asia. You'd think that they would give Asia more preference since Samsung is used in most of Asia especially in its origin country, South Korea.
